Kitty and Colossus? Pete Wisdom was better.
Where is Hank Pym and Wasp?
Cyclops made the list twice? There were other X-men with relationships. Relationships that did not involve psychic affairs and wife abandoning.

Ain't it the truth Butters.
What happen to Bruce Banner and Betty Ross?
Who cares about Justice and Firestar? The only reason they are still together is because no writer really cares enough about either to match them up with someone they personally like.
Vision Scarlet Witch, a couple that I wish never came to be. Women should not marry robots, and vice versa.
Come to think of it, I have never seen one Marvel old school couple that I truly liked. Spider-man and Mary Jane was just something that I accepted I didn't really worry about are they right for each other or about their relationship, it was just something that was there. Same with Mr Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Jean and Scott were probably the closet thing to a ideal couple in my own opinion but outside of that no other relationship written in the marvel books ever seemed real. Heck they didn't even seem plausibly fake either.

Man,
they are really going out of their way to antagonize the Spider-fans. Hilarious!

No. Not hilarious.
Pathetic and spiteful.

I agree with you about Bruce and Betty. I felt that, under PAD, they had a very deep relationship.
I completely disagree with your robot comment. It's offensive to Sage.

Ugh. Nice to see Marvel ethusiastically endorses pedophelia... Kitty & Peter's "highlight" gives me shivers. :/
If they wanted that, they could've at least gone for a hott couple (helloooo Doug & Betsy!).

LOL! This thread is funny! Robotists!
I liked how they referred to the Spider-Man loves Mary Jane comic. That's one fantastic comic. the writeup didn't seem to spiteful to me.

They got divorced :( but the should be recognized as one of Marvel's top couples.
Cyclops made the list twice? There were other X-men with relationships. Relationships that did not involve psychic affairs and wife abandoning.
totally agree they should have gave props to other X-couples like Angel and Psylocke, Rogue and Gambit, Surge and Prodigy and my personal fave Julian and Sofia.

I think the antagonism is seconding Spidey/Mary Jane to Spidey/Gwen (who I think was last a serious character around the time I was born). I don't care, but they sure aren't being shy about stirring that pot.

Pete & Kitty first?
I mean, i like it, but they are a long way from the number one couple.
If we are talking about love and romance here in the classical sense then i think its more along the lines of.
#1 Reed & Sue
#2 Scott & Jean
#3 Peter & MJ
Peter & MJ at #6? Below Peter & Gwen.
Just asking for the Spidey fans to go ape aint they.

Where is Rogue and Gambit?

Yay Kitty & Piotr! Even though you didn't deserve #1 :D
But on the highlight, are you serious? There are a ton of better issues for their relationship! She was 13 at the time, IT WASN'T EVEN LEGAL! When they say it is a "child friendly" site, I didn't think they meant that friendly.
Classy, Marvel, classy.

And the only reason they've done it is because Joss Whedon & His 80s Fixation (good band, by the way ;)) have been bigging it up in the "flagship" X-Book. The twenty years when they weren't together and she was off being a worthwhile character (while he was off being a creepy obsessive and beating people up for touching her) seem to eclipse the brief period of time when they were breaking the law together.
But seriously, Gwen ranks above MJ? What the hell?!
Quesada should be ashamed of himself for even thinking about bringing her crappy-ass self back. Ashamed, I tell you!

too true. Their relationship should've stayed in the 80s! This list is so messed up, but whatever lol.

Marvel's recent top tens have been nothing BUT messed up, what with Emma Frost ranking in their top ten X-Men of all time...

I care about Vance and Angel. Those two probably were my favorite couple in Marvel and I was very disappointed that they didn't get married. They are broken up now with Firestar retired and Vance in the Initiative and involved with Ultragirl.

Kitty and Piotr as the #1 couple??? Don't make me sick.
And where is your favorite couple Storm and Black Panther, Marvel? You hailed their marriage as "The Wedding Of The Century" and they didn't even make this list? It's like Marvel knows we all hate that shit.
Of course I think Havok and Polaris should be on this list. They've been on and off since the 60s, and they're still going strong!
HAVOK & POLARIS
Highlight: Stuck in space, on the eve before their team's "final" battle against Vulcan and the Shi'ar Empire, Lorna goes, "Just shut and kiss me," and reunites with Alex at long last. (Uncanny X-Men #485(6)?)
Lowlight: Alex calls off his wedding to Lorna as Lorna makes it down the altar. Mentally unhinged due to events on Genosha, Lorna goes apeshit and knocks out all present X-Men and tries to kill Alex and his mistress slutbag Nurse A**ie. (Uncanny X-Men #425-426).

Where is Rogue and Gambit?
Nowhere near this list, as it should be. Any charm either character had faded with that relationship. It's a blight.
The #1 seems a bit trendy to me. It's like ZOMG JOSS WHEDON KITTY PETER YAY!
Justice and Firestar also seem a bit forced. Their relationship had like zero impact and relevance.
I like the other choices, though, and I love that Spider-Man/Gwen was higher than Spider-Man/MJ.

Even if they don't get back together, they have been an on&off couple for 15 years. Just because of the duration of their romance they should have made it in the list.

Not as dead as most of the ones on the list. :p
Most on the list ended horribly including two killing the other and one cheating on his mate.
Those romantics at Marvel.

Exactly what I say that about Emma and Scott all the time too. :p

I would'nt call it "dead".It's been pretty much "on hold" ever since that cheezy "Blood of Apocalypse" storyline. In Mr.Carey's first issue Rogue said she would wait for him to come back. Then she had to go through all that crud up to the end of "Messiah Complex."I guess we'll have to wait until atleast May to see where they end up...:(

Unfortunately for you the relationship between Emma and Scott is a driving force behind the current direction of the line. It's dynamic and interesting. Gambit and Rogue, on the other hand, are good for dragging down whichever book they appear in together. No matter who is writing, that relationship manages to suck the life out of any story.

Not to me it's not. If anything it's the reason I'm not reading most of the x-books these days. The last Uncanny was a jumping on point and if it wasn't for Kurt, I think I would have lined my birdcage with it. Emma and Scott at their silliest and sappiest is even more obnoxious given what a bunch of crap decisions I think Scott has made in the last five years. Their stupidity and Marvel's blessing of it drags everything down to me given it's got a much bigger affect on the x-books as a whole than ups and down in any other relationship. I think Havok and Polaris have the worst written relationship historically but I'd take them and their soap in a heartbeat over the full court press Marvel is throwing around about how "special" Cyclops and Emma are. I remember when the X-Men were a team and they could darn well survive without any one particular character and that included Scott, his johnny come lately adoring psi wife, and even Wolverine. Blatant favoritism sucks the life out of anything pretty quickly. There was a point in CC's run where I just couldn't stand Storm anymore and I've reached that and then some with Scott and Emma.

I'll admit Emma holding her own against Sins and Exodus (huh?) kinda qualifies as that, but you do know other characters did most of the pwning in combat situations during MC, right?
So far, it's being hinted that the x-crew will start listening and stop b**ching for the sake of ego boosts. That's hardly people worshipping the pair. Geez.

It's not that which is being moaned about here, though. The fact that Marvel is relentlessly pushing Scott & Emma's relationship, as screwed-up and disjointed as it is, as being somehow The Best They'll Ever Have is somewhat disconcerting.
