Hugh Jackman looks amazing. The single best shot I've ever seen as him as Wolverine.

I second This but they would have to make a New X-Men movie first.

I'm mad that they didn't make a third movie to finish the trilogy before starting on this.

I've decided that I am officially a Wolverine Classic fan. I drifted off from Wolverine fandom years ago because of what they did with his history during the nineties, and also didn't care for Origin. I'm currently reading the wikipedia article on his history, and shaking my head furiously. The constant retconning has hurt my brain so many times, I've decided to ignore any Wolverine origin story after 1990.
As such, I'm genuinely hoping that whoever makes the new movie decides to abandon most of the crap they've foisted upon him in the last 17 years and get him back to being the brooding and mysterious but amiable zen cowboy of the 70s and 80s. If the new movie can pull that off, even if they significantly change a lot of stuff, it will be the first Wolverine origin retcon I'll be willing to accept. *nods firmly*

Very much the same as what I have done. I'm very selective with what I'll accept in relation to what Marvel have done to my favourite character - Origin, among other storylines, leaves me fuming, so I choose to ignore it.

Yeah I've never seen him that jacked and ripped before.
He definitely had some hardcore workouts for that type of muscle and tone.

Hugh looks very impressive in that pic. Great choice for a 1st peek. Is it just me or is there a old fashioned Japanese structure in the background of that pic?!? I thought they said that the Japan connection would not be explored in this film?
Clearly, no one here has heard of airbrushing.doesn't really look air-brushed. If it had been xtensively air-brushed the most obvious place to work on would have been the claws, since it's obvious by the appearance of the "roots" that he's using the props. They dont appear to come out of his hands at all.
It's pretty well known that Hugh has been training hardcore to bulk up big time for this film.

The claws are almost as long as long Lady death's strike talon.
Clearly, no one here has heard of airbrushing.
He said he want to be as ripped as possible for this film.

I also like the back ground, very remenicent of the first X-Men movie's cage fight which I'm sure is intentional since it's a prequel (apparently before Wolverine got flabby in X-Men).

LOL Alas, poor Hugh got popped into the role-that-launched-a-thousand-films at the last minute when Doug Ray got stuck with Tom Cruise, finishing up one of those Mission Impossible ripoffs.

Yeah it was pretty last minute so I can't blame him.
Interestingly if you noticed in the first cage fight scene, he's more ripped and in shape than when he was at the mansion. That's because that was one of the last scenes he filmed so by the time he finished shooting he was nearing X2 level buffness. Dougray should be kicked in the balls for backing away from X-Men, like who cares about him now after MI:2 compared to Hugh's role as Logan?

I never understood why the claws didn't come out of the knuckles
Or why they were knife shaped.
Meh. I Suppose they look cooler.
Is deathstrike gonna pop up in it?
She Should.

Air Brushed to the fulliest. lol, nice indeed. And it's been widely speculated that Wolverines claw size is directly proportional to his uhh level of sexual arousement? (Can I say that? is that a word?)

As opposed to the "took four cans of hairspray to hold it in shape" gull-wing hairstyle he had in the X-Movies?

Looks hot, I love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. And he looks waaay better without the uniform (even in comics).
I just hope the movie doesn't dwell too much into the convulted mess his back history has become...
I must say I do not like the final name. It seems to me that Wolverine is getting a lot of corny named merchandise lately... X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Wolverine: First Class, Wolverine and the X-Men, Wolverine the immortal bloody man or whatever... they can surely come up with better names than those.

Is it just me or does he actually look younger now that he is ripped up? Which is a good thing.
My only gripe is where the claws join/emerge from between the knuckles, a couple look like they are attackedrather than protruding.
I can pretty much guarantee Hugh wont look as defined in the movie though. That downwards lighting accentuates his muscles.

A new pic has been released. Wolverine is still caged, and the claws still look odd.
