OK, so we already know some info about the basic figure comin out. Mezco has released more info about them, along with some info/pics of other HB 2 swag being released later this year. First off, Movie HB in the main line DOES include the BIG BABY shotgun. Second, Wink comes with a fairy trap accessory!!! Now, third and most cool IMO, Wink will have a "Film accurate mace hand"!!!!!

Now, onto other stuff revealed so far:

18" Hellboy (http://www.toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=267&itemid=12492)

Busts (http://www.toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=267&itemid=12491)

Keychains (http://www.toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=267&itemid=12490)

I'm gonna have to start saving some money

Oh good grief. I'm going to need to add another wing to the house.

The busts and keychains are a must.

Also a link to the rest of the Mezco line including Liz and Johan:

I have managed to avoid purchasing hellboy related merchandize for a decade and a half (only slipped twice).

But I may have to break down and get the keychains and busts...
and I don't even like stuff on my keychains... :(

I already have one of those RHOD keychains. I cut the one off of that creepy baby Hellboy movie figure and screwed an eyelet into it - very secure and it gets good laughs when I go through the security checkpoints.

I'm all about the keychains, as well.

Aren't those busts from SDCC 07 though? Could have sworn that Mezco had them on show then. I figured they were for the first film.

OOOH, looks like the RHOD statue might solve my making a better one for my custom figure problem.

Surprisingly the keychains are the first thing I'd want. With the full veiw of the movie figs I can now say I'm really not interested. The busts are great, but I'm very satisfied with my animated 10''er for my HB figure needs.

Actually, I know I saw that Hellboy bust at least three years ago at San Diego. I thought it looked cool then and always wondered what happened to it (since it was a prototype I figured they used it for one of their figures instead). Glad to see it reappear...it looks great!

All the rest of the stuff looks good. Another 18" Hellboy? Guess I'll have to get him to go with the other three.

I will say this though, I may wait on some of the stuff as I hate seeing stuff I bought drop to 50% on the after market. Though, I hate waiting.

In a related note, those interested in the two Hellboy art books coming out for the movie, Art of and Monsters of, Amazon has a nice deal on them. Preorder them and get an additional 5% off their already discounted price...plus free shipping and no tax. $31.29 for both books (normally $25 each).

I'd only want the movie*Abe figure... if it wasn't just a redo of the old HB1 Abe with a new arm sculpt. =/ Not worth the money, IMHO.

Now if it was an Abe in the full body black jumpsuit, THEN I'd be tempted to get it.

I am getting EVERYTHING Golden Army this year. I already haggled with my local cinema to sell me the giant three-sided lobby display once its time to be removed. I know its sad, but what can I say, I'm a bloody whore anything Hellboy.

That new HB sculpt is werid...he's head is fat, and ugly. It looks like it was sculpted out of crayon. Also the need for Abe to wear that "re-breather/turtle neck" is distrackting. Why don't they just push him around in a big fish bowl? Wink kicks ass!

That's the thing: the Abe figure is basically a refresh of the HB1 Abe... but with molded short sleeves on.

I can see why they'd do that (cost cutting), but it doesn't mean they SHOULD do it. I mean fer cryin' out loud, he wears a full body jumpsuit in most of what we've seen so far. is it so hard for them to make a figure based on that?

It's all cost cutting. I used to be big into figures, and being a dinosaur nut I collected the Jurassic Park line. Hasbro repainted for all 3 movies! I don't think it's art to them...It's all about the bottom line.

Well, of the figures, I think I'll pass on HB and Abe and get the big 18" ones. An 18" Abe, that should be sweet!

Well, with Jurassic Park, I can kinda see why they'd do that.

And yeah, it's all about cost cutting. Maybe if this wave sells enough, we'll get some new sculpts in a potential wave three (I say 'Wave Three', since wouldn't this shown wave be 'Wave II' after the '1.5' we got a couple years back?).

And hopefully the figures won't reek of heavy paint fumes this time around too. My mother is never going to let me live that one down for as long as I live. D=

Well knowing Mezco there will be 4368 head sculpt variants so maybe they'll be a small head HB variant :D.

And hopefully Abe will come with 2 heads again...I prefer my Abe sands iron lung. I would prefer the full bodysuit over the short sleeve outfit as well.

Man Wink (http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=view&album=2008_Toy_Fair%2FMezco%2FHellboy_2_At_Toy_Fai r&pic=IMG_7229.jpg&dispsize=800&start=0) just looks better and better!

He's definately the must have figure of this line for me.

I also like the Hellboy (http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=album&album=2008_Toy_Fair%2FMezco%2FHellboy_2_At_Toy_Fai r&dispsize=800&start=0) figure quite a bit (trench coat).

30 bucks a pop? That means I can get them for 25$ from the LCS. Nice. That's an extremely good price!

That last link makes me quite curious about what Mezco has in store.

I still haven't heard about variants or case loads - in particular, I am worried about Wink being short-packed - but I went ahead and pre-ordered an entire case of the HB II figures (through my local comic shop, support your small business owner).

Me either...but mainly because I don't like "human" characters. The character needs to be visually appealing to me. A realistic bald guy with a beard isn't going to cut it for me :D

It occurred to me that Mike Mignola probably has to approve all toys/merchandizing and he gets a sample of each of them... Which means he may have a guest bedroom that is filled floor to ceiling with hundreds of hellboy figures/lunchboxes/keychains/coasters/sleeping bags/lamps and even more figures...

I bet the Mignola's have a kickass yard sale each year!

That or a sink hole in the backyard filled to the top with little red men... :)

Guest bedroom? When the toys come in, Christine sighs, has the moving van back into the backyard, and summons a giant Tiger head that comes out of the ground and opens its mouth.

She used to make the movers carry them down all the steps. Now they just chuck 'em in.

Pardon the Aladdin flashback.

While not entirely movie related TFAW has some new shirts up for order:

included are the Lobster Johnson shirt (sadly it's not just blue with the logo...but still cool) and the "Son of a" shirt which I find amussing. :D

And who do I have to pay off to get that Oddest Jobs cover as a print? I love it more and more everytime I see it.

Well, maybe not beware. I did order an XL HB Symbols T-shirt from TFAW a while ago and when I got it, it fit like a medium. You might want to order a size or two bigger.

While I haven't had the sizing issue that Donald has encountered I do find TFAW's pricing on T-shirts a little on the high side. MSRP of $30 for a t-shirt?! I know they "mark it down" to $24 but still...that's too much for a comic t-shirt. Especially since they will eventually sell these for about $10 by Christmas. I picked up a white BPRD and the Mignola movie Hellboy profile ones for $6 each a couple years ago. Nice shirts with some great designs but I'm waiting for a bit.
