HB 2: The Golden Army action figures

The first pic of Mezco's Golden Army figures has been revealed here. (http://www.toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=169&itemid=12460)

Wave 1 is HB, Abe, Liz, Johann, Prince Nuada and Wink. The article claims that these will be in 7" scale. From the pic, it looks like HB and Abe are simple re-tools of figures from the last movie. Abe now has boots and a gun. Whatchoo guys think?

Not really a figure collector so, this doesn't make me want to change that. I might be interested to see some of the other creature inhabitants if they make them though.

Tree Elemental, Golden Army, Tadpole vendor, maybe even a dozen tooth fairies.

Kind of boring to me, I rather save my money for the 10'' animated HB. I'll hold my judgment till they give us more pics and info.

Thanks for sharing the link, Mattman! I'm just glad that we're finally getting a Movie Liz! That was my biggest regret abotu Mezco's figures from the first film, that there wasn't a Liz, so that alone makes me happy about this wave. It's a little annoying that HB and Abe appear to be retreads, especially given how fond Mezco are of doing variant versions of Hellboy. When we first saw the pictures of the figures for the first movie, I said to myself that I wouldn't buy the original movie figures. Then I saw Sammael in stores and he was so cool that I couldn't pass him up. Now I'm saying the same thing about the prince. There's nothing particularly interesting about this figure to me. But that could change when I actually see it... Wink looks cool, and Movie Johann looks pretty good, though he's kind of a cross between Johann and the alien from Mez's comic line.

They did that for the movie. That Johann is pretty much EXACTLY what he looks like in the film.

Hopefully Nuada will come with Spear, Sword, and Magic Bean Grenade.

So mezco is coming out with an 18 inch hellboy with big baby. I got to see the preview at my comic shop today. put it on pre order looks kool. it is $54.99

Wave 2 is supposed to include a goblin with spear as well.

I'm actually really excited about these figures. When the first movie came out money was extremely tight and I could only afford to pick up Anung Un Rama. Now I'll be able to fill the void left behind. :D
