I'm going to miss this book terribly.
I'll miss the characters and the fun, and the weird science, and Copernicus and Head, and M'nagalah, and Panda and even that backstabbing b**** Jia.
But good lord, Mike Norton did a great job on this last issue. There is no WAY all that stuff should fit in one comic and he made it happen. Amazing. Mike, you rock.
I'm looking forward to Rick Remender and Pat Oliffe. I know they'll be awesome.
But I miss Ivy already!

It's weird because I have a work study student named Jia who is quite the opposite of the character in Atom. The name was unique to me, so the character stood out in my mind.

Oops, didn't see this when I started my thread.
But, yes, great issue. Sad to see you go, but I'll follow the new team.

Sorry to see Gail leave but what a leave-taking! This has to be the sweetest comic I've read since Mike Bullock's "Lions, Tigers and Bears".
And Gail, you forgot to mention that the Dean rather bore a strong resemblence to Cthulu.
I'll stay to see the new creative team but, Remender better not get rid of Head and the LTAS. Seriously, if nothing else, this title has jumped out of the gate with the BEST supporting cast in comics EVER! Copernicus beats Ace the Bathound and Superdog all to heck (yes, I said it!), Head was... well... Head was headstrong! Panda and the Lighter Than Air Society kicked science butt!
and Ryan has made Ivy Town HOME!

Oh yeah, I also giggled at this anecdote. (http://community.livejournal.com/scans_daily/4931011.html?thread=180265923#t180265923)
So, who's willing to make fanart of Ryan in the bustier?

I'm going to miss your brand of insanity on this book.

My LCS was missing All-New Atom last Wednesday (as well as Countdown!), so I can't comment on the particular issue.
But damn, this has been a fun, intriguing, fascinating run! And if Mike Norton's work on previous issues is any indication, then I'm sure it was amazing. I've loved his work, and look forward to whatever project he is taking on next.
Gail, thanks. Really, this has been one of the best books on the shelves. As much as you'll miss Ivy Town, we'll miss you.
