Ashes to Ashes (SPOILERS!)

Since this is popping up in the English TV thread, thought I'd start something seperate here. I liked it, though I'm already worried that the "how can I get home?" story has been told before. We'll see where it's going.

I'm quite sad that they confirmed Sam Tyler is dead, too. I'd been comforting myself with thoughts that he never woke up and both the 70s and his coming round where coma dreams. Oh well.

Taken seperately, I did like it a lot. Gene is Gene, and Keely Hawes - who I've never watched before, far as I remember - was very good. Alex is an interesting enough character for me to look past the Life on Mars similarities, and it's nice to see Gene's progressed a little. While still cracking me up.

I really enjoyed it. It's similar to LOM, yet different. We've gone from The Sweeney to Miami Vice :)
