... was pretty badass!
Never saw the show before, I actually liked it, though I think BC had something to do with that.

I was underwhelmed. I didn't see the point of the whole "right wing hawk of the airwaves" thing, because it literally played no role in the story. And despite the fact that they gave similar lip service to Ollie being a "limosine liberal" their political beliefs provided absolutely no conflict between the two.
Mostly I was disappointed that at no point did she beat anyone up. I always think of her fighting ability first and her canary cry second, for some reason, but she didn't do any fighting. Ollie, on the other hand, did have a pretty lame fight with Lex.

I think it sets up for possible future appearances. Personally, I'm glad they didn't play it up... I was worried we'd get an Ann Coulter (gag) version of BC.
As for kicking ass, wtf? She totally kicked everyone's ass at one point in 60 minutes flat!

The fundamental problem with Smallville is they hold back. You can feel where the story and characters WANT to go, but to keep the show in a perpetual state they don't let them go there. It's like giving a 69 Charger with a V8 424 engine a half gallon tank of gas.
That said, Canary was alright. I kind of prefer the version Gail set up, but for a TV show she was decent. Green Arrow, however, is always a pleasure. One of the best things of the last season. And that Justic League episode was a total hell yeah moment.
