I never read any DC comics really...at least not since I was a kid, but I bought the first collection of 52 and I am about to go get the second one today...I feel like it may be one of the best arcs in a comic world that I have read in a long time

I've been reading comics for a while, but I tended to ignore the big crossover series like that because I didn't have enough knowledge of the histories involved to really care.

But, I broke down and read 52 (just finished the fourth trade a couple of days ago actually), and I found it to be spectacularly well-written (how could it not be with four really amazing writers) and interesting. So much so that I've picked up the series that have spun out of 52.

I hope you enjoy it. I sure did.

Such a great book. It could've been a catastrophe, but everyone involved in making it did some of their best work.

Hmm you should check out Green Lantern - Sinestro Corps War. The Immortal Iron Fist - The Last Iron Fist Story. Captain America - Winter Soldier. Batman - Club of Heroes. Bendis' entire run of Daredevil.

Now those are story arcs.

I'm actually picking up the first TPB of 52 tomorrow. Wish me luck! :D

i agree with botch you should check out green lantern, its having a great arc and JSA those two book are the best in dc right know and the #12 issue of jsa just came out today so i think it wont be hard find the other 11

I'm hoping much more for an Absolute 52 series, especially if it comes with a Companion book!

I have to doubt that something like that would happen, especially this soon after the trades were released. The trades are very reasonably priced, considering there are 13 issues per trade. And you can find them pretty cheaply on the internet these days.

I doubt an Absolute 52 will show up anytime soon either (if at all). But the art was awesome, the story was phenominal. I think it deserves an Absolute release.

I recently finished all four volumes of 52 and highly recommend it. It was very well produced all around.

I'm reading Countdown now. Unfortunately it's not as good a read as 52, IMHO.

Yeah, Countdown ain't much. Here's hoping that Trinity does better. :D
