Did anyone else pick up the latest figure from Gentle Giant today? Maybe I just found it late and this has already been discussed, but it wasn't part of the initial line of smaller GG figures a few weeks ago at my LCS.

There were four varieties: with coat scowling, with coat mouth closed, without coat scowling and without coat mouth closed. I opted for coat and scowl. The addition of this figure makes the 36th HB in our living room (some are hiding other places--and fortunately my girlfriend is VERY tolerant!), and I have to say, I think he's one of my favorites!

This is definitely the best figure in the Gentle Giant line (although their Bust-Ups were pretty awesome), and also the best 3D representation of Animated Hellboy yet. It's SO much better than the DH statue in the same scale--and more fun, too! A great sculpt with a great paint job, surprisingly posable, and with a good selection of alternates: open and closed fists for both hands. The belt and holster are particularly well done. I definitely recommend picking this one up if anyone's on the fence about it!

I hope they do an Abe in this scale to match. Did I read somewhere else on this forum that that was happening?

Waiting for this from BBTS right now. They didn't have a selection for head variants, so I don't know which one I'll get. Got coatless, tho.

I'm definitely going to pick up one, though I wish there was a way to side step all the variants. Brisco or gdeo, do you think you could post some open pics of this bad boy? I'd love to see his scale next to the mezco line.

There were four varieties: with coat scowling, with coat mouth closed, without coat scowling and without coat mouth closed.

4 different types of a $30 figure?!? GG is getting as bad as Mezco.

Here's a pic of the regular w/out coat: https://www.gentlegiantltd.com/catalog/product/detail/335
Follow this to see a scowling without coat (it's one of the pics to select from): http://www.shopafx.com/hean10rofi.html
Scowling with coat: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=GG10206&mode=retail

looks the the regular w/out coat is considered the regular version, all the others are variants - if getting one, I'd recommend one with the coat, you can always take it off

Great stuff, thanks for posting pics! I was wondering how he'd look next to good ole 18'' HB. So I take it those $20 trench coats that popped up a while ago were meant for this guy. Silly variants.

Nope. They were meant for regular sized HBA as demonstrated mere:

I love my $20 trenchcoat heh.

Thanks to Gary posting those pics I now want the ten incher. However I'm only allowed a certain number of figures a year and with HB2 coming out and Mezco doing the line I think I'll hold off.

I Love all of Them. I ordered the one with the coat. I have a pre order on another and there is one that I want to see also. I am hoping to get it soon, don't want to loose out on the other. I was a little confused on which one to get, so I will get them all( all these variants are confusing).:D

Funny, I put the trenchcoat on the cigar smoking HB and switched Abe's left hand to the open version, too! Although I've got HB with his gun out and arm cocked, it's such an iconic pose to me.

Mailman brought the 10 inch with coat. It is really kool. The hands are awsome.
Now all I need in a shelf just for my figures. That is not going to be easy in my house.:D
