Haha, nice touch putting Jonah second! :D
That's a real honour. It's quick for fans to take lovable JJJ for granted in the villain context. He was more of an arguable ass under Stan's writing before Stern and Defalco mellowed him, but the unmasking, She-Hulk, and BND have been trying to remind us the stubborn predjudice Jameson has is what ultimatley dooms his social extensions.

List seems alright considering I was expecting to see Menace, paper doll, freak, and mr. negative on it. ;)

Agreed. I think all the ones they had deserve to be on there, but to have Doctor Octopus come in at number 7? He should be much higher than that! Certainly in the top 5 and definitely above Kraven the Hunter at the very least.

Seeing this totally made me realize just how awesome Spider-Man's rogue gallery is. Not because of who was listed, but rather, because of who was not. Mysterio, Carnage, Vulture, Scorpion, Elektro, Sandman.... Wow, Spiderman sure has been through a lot in 45 years!

I actually considered putting Mr. Negative at number two just to watch the CBR forums go ablaze. :D

"Green Goblin II/Harry Osborn" is a great character that I hope gets moved to #1 in the future. Here's why:
1. He has the potential to be a greater villain than his father.
2. He was the best villain in the Spider-Man movies.
3. He has the greatest motives to hate Peter, he's the anti-Peter, plus he's Peter's best friend.
4. His best appearances as a villain in the comics have yet to be written.
Moreover, I hope the BND villains get put on this list years from now too, 'cause the BND comics are stellar.

I agree with this. Personally, Doc Ock is in the top 5 of my top 10...and Kraven doesn't even make my list. :p

That leaves an opening. Out of curiosity, who is it that made your top ten?

Kraven buried him alive.

Kraven buried him alive.
Yeah, but Kraven is a damn loser. Even he knew it...
so he blew his brains out. :p
Really though, Kraven isn't *that* bad...but, imo, he doesn't deserve a spot on the top ten list. Again, just my opinion, is all. :)
Out of curiosity, who is it that made your top ten?

10. Kingpin
9. Mysterio
8. Lizard
7. Green Goblin (Harry)
6. Hobgoblin
5. Electro
4. Venom
3. Doc Ock
2. Sandman
1. Green Goblin (Norman)
But my list are my personal favorites. :o

Shh. I wouldn't want you to magically disappear in the night.
But you're completely correct.

Well thanks for nothing. Seriously, put some thought into it. Scorpion, Sandman, Mysterio.... OMD and BND are done! Give us some real perspective. Joe Quesada just beat you. Care to put some real thought into it?

I don't think anyone can argue that Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin, deserves the number one spot.
The asshole killed his girlfriend--after screwing her, knocking her up, and having bastard twins--then returned to kill his baby, and Ben...screwed up Harry's life with that Goblin bull...a lot of crap.
He's Spidey's archenemy, and deserves the top of that list.
Just sayin'. :D

Regardless of it's canocity, the marraige isnt exactly gone either (Spider-Girl), Joe didnt "beat us", he just releived a mainstream publication of a burden that will eventually come back like a boomerang. All we do is watch that boomerang.

Seriously true. I think it's somewhat telling how there hasn't been a *really* good addition to it, since probably Venom.

I could argue that GG be number 1, for it's Doc Ock
at least he never disappeared 'off to Europe' for 20-ish years :p
I mean he was almost Uncle Otto

I don't think Hobgoblin beats the Lizard on the list. I'd move the burglar and Doc Ock up and put the Lizard before Hobgoblin.
I liked that the burglar made the list, alot of fans don't seem to mention him but he is key to the mythos.

I agree with the list on most parts, I would probably make some changes. But it's a good one. Though my favorite would be different. I was surprised in a good way that Morlun was not in it.

I believe that Norman works better as a dead character,as someone who his legacy tormenting his son.Don't get me wrong,i'm one of those people who were happy when Norman returns(as good as Harry was as Goblin, his death was perfect to end a great story and he wasn't totally evil.We need a Goblin who would be pure evil again)but somehow they overused him and destroy something of the character's magic.
The list is good, with some changes it would be perfect.

The green goblin on top is really no surprise for me,
but J. Jonah Jameson as second made me smile. Must admit i never really saw him as villian or more dangerous than venom. But makes a lot of bad publicity for spider-man so i guess that hurts too.
