I finally got myself a new computer! I bought a MacBook, I'm so happy. I hope this one has a shelf life past 5 months. I hope it's more like a 5 year shelf life.:D

My daughter still uses her 5 y.o. PowerBook for her photo-editing, FWIW.

Did you buy the AppleCare with it? Simply because Macs DO tend to be more expensive up-front, it's actually the only time that I recommend that anyone buy the extended warranty. (And I'm a confirmed mac-junkie.)

Yes I did. After all the problems I had with past computers I def. got it.
