Whilst I'm not swallowing the "company man" excuse of "infinite possibility" and the "character is intact", the way Dan paces the interview and treats Spidey almost like Marvel's writing a season of 24 (right down to describing his locations as "sets") is a hoot.
And Spidey's been stuck in a desert before curiously enough...complete with a hot black flight attendent.
...So BND's a porno? That explains everything...

I like the part about the cake. And it does illustrate a couple of points, foremost that people, especially on the Interwebs are full of shite. But also Skrulls aren't the only ones hiding amongst you. Now who wants a slice?:D

You coming on to me ZT? The answer is no way, sure I'm flattered, maybe even a little curious. But I don't go in for these back door shenanigans.
Will there be cake?

DS: Shhh… You wanna know a secret? There's what people say and there's what people do. Ever try to go on a diet WITH a friend? Like, if I do this, will you do this with me? And eventually they walk in on you eating a piece of chocolate cake. And then they start screaming, "You said let's go on a diet TOGETHER! And here you are EATING CHOCOLATE CAKE! YOU B@ST@RD!"
Well guess what? You know what a LOT of those positive e-mails said? Stuff like this: "Hi, you might've seen my screen name online, and yeah, I was one of those guys saying I was going to boycott Amazing Spider-Man. But I tried it, and I like it! I didn't realize how much I missed this Spider-Man. Please don't tell anybody. And keep up the good work."
And then you turn around and you see that the guy is STILL posting on boycott threads! It makes you want to jump in and scream, "He's eating chocolate cake!" But you can't, 'cause you don't want to be a **** and "out" the poor guy.
Oh my God! And the RETAILERS! You get e-mails from retailers—the same retailers who were telling tales of woe of how all their customers we're canceling their orders for ASM. But now they're saying, "Yeah. All the guys in my store took ASM off their pull lists. But the sales are great, because those SAME guys are buying it off the rack." So basically, a lot of these boycotters are hiding ASM into the middle of their stacks. It's like they're buying porn or something. We've become comic book porn.
See, this sort of thing is just an attempt to discredit anyone who is upset still. Still not reading it and I don't believe that there are too many people acting that way. Not at my store at any rate. I think one person of the 8 who dropped the title is picking it up off the rack and he is thinking it will be a collectable:rolleyes:
