It's been put on hold. I think Bendis has said it'll finally get started after SECRET INVASION, but I could be misremembering.

That would be awesome if it still came out someday, it seems like every time there is a chance that Bendis and Maleev could be working on it they both start something else, like Halo!

I'll buy anything Maleev draws, but I really hope Bendis does some serious repairs to the damage he's done to Jessica's character.

That is indeed what he said. I'm fairly excited for it, but I'm questioning how Bendis is going to handle writing all those Avengers books at once...

Since this has been waiting to come out for the last two years.. I can't wait if it actually comes out. but like Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk, this will probably never get done.

Maleev has some Spider-Woman stuff in his gallery that IGN used a while back when I first head about the project probably about 8 months to a year ago. I can't find the article anymore though.

I'll buy it, but I agree with the book waiting until after Secret Invasion since it appears Jessica will be very involved in the event.

I think I heard Bendis say once that he can write one book a week.
He's got 3 on-goings with Ultimate Spider-Man and 2 Avenger books. So that leaves him a few extra weeks a month for other stuff.

I really really like Jessica/Spider-Woman she is one of the compelling characters out there. I also love her relationship with Carol Danvers and Jessica Jones. Throw in Storm and thats my big four.

This sounds interesting. Sometimes I'm quite out of the loop; i.e. I haven't heard squat about this comic until I glanced at this thread.
But I think Spiderwoman could be a good comic, or it could be like Ms. Marvel. I love it one issue and then the next one I just kind of say; "ehhh.."

Bendis said it begins right after SI is over, so it must spin out of that; he's gone through a couple of different premises for the series over the years, but I'd be interested to see what he does with the character. He's best with solo titles.

I feel the same about Ms Marvel

Bendis is a mad man, I tell you.
In any case, heres to hoping Maleev throws in a mercy redesign of that god awful outfit.

Also Powers, even though it's been a little shaky in terms of a monthly schedule.

Not strictly true, on the last page of issue #5 of Spider-Woman Origins it states: "And coming in 2007. Spider-Woman #1!".
In my book that is an advertisement. So yeah, I'd understand why people would be a bit peeved.
