So my latest feature on Marvel.com is pretty nea and dear to me as myself and some of the crew behind CABLE & DEADPOOL, one of my favorite books, look back on our favorite moments from the past four years before the title joins that great cancellation graveyard in the sky.
Give it a look:

Thanks Ben!
I might quibble with the order that you numbered them, but you definitely hit the high points that leapt out in my mind.
Thanks for showing some love to CDP!

As it said in the article: "in no particular order." :p
Glad you dug the article.

Thanks for reminding me Ben that not all of the Marvel U can't be serious all the time. :D

it's just so sad... why couldn't Deadpool go into the future with Cable and help him raise the baby!?!?!?!
He would've many more a useless quips now that two grown men were raising an infant together!

I had completely forgotten about the issue w/ Cable and Wade drinking beer together.
The only quip I have w/ the list is that no where in there is a mention of Cable and Captain America's talk in CnD #25. That was an amazing issue.

I hate that I'm just now getting back into comics... I think this would have probably been one of my favorite comics.
Are there any TPB's for this?

That would be one fucked up baby if Deadpool decided to help raise it.

It would be hilarious though... two daddies... I can see Deadpool walking around with an apron on, cleaning the house, etc.

That would have been comedy gold, actually. I can see Fabian having a field day with that one- "One and a Half Men and a Baby"

Yes. Everyone is collected.
I recommend the 2nd TPB: Burnt Offering. Also pretty much anything issue drawn by Patrick Zircher.

Everytime I read C&D I always thought "why doesn't anyone buy this comic???"
Great memories and a great comedy book. I will miss it a lot.
Sad part too me is we will never get too see Bob's Blog or Dear Deadpool again. I'm sure Deadpool will end up somewhere but Bob and his blog are gone :(

Marvel, your doing a bad thing by getting rid of Bob and Agency X. Fat Alex Hayden needs more books...and donuts.

Those pretty much are the 10 greatest moments in the book if you ask me.
C&DP really did become the best of friends, despite all the dickery on Deadpool's part around Civil War...
*sigh* Reminiscing like this makes me all teary eyed. I'll miss this book.
I'm certainly in the mood to reread the whole shebang now! I should get on that...

I agree with ya 100%. This is a comic that deserved to go on. Fine Cable is gone from the book and thus less X-fans will pick it up but damn Bob is one hell of a sidekick. It many ways the book was just as good with Bob as it was with Cable. As a Bob, Agent of HYDRA fan I really hope he turns up somewhere else but that is highly unlikely.

#9 made me wish I was rich and had a pool!
And you know what? The serious parts of the book were dam awesome too.
Yeah, you had the hilarity, but there were some great moments, the "death" of Cable and the Captain America issue.

You guys do know Deadpool is getting a new ongoing later this year, right? It's right there in Ben's article.
Just pray Way doesn't cannibalize Wade's supporting cast.

And here we are, three and a half years later...
Time to go back and re-read Cable & Deadpool one more time. It's amazing to see how much love this comic got.
My favorite from the article:
10. EAT POWER COSMIC (CABLE & DEADPOOL #10)
His mutant telekinesis juiced up to its most extreme level ever, Cable goes toe-to-toe with the Silver Surfer in an effort to preserve his island haven of Providence and actually cracks the Sentinel of the Spaceways' board in the process!
"Oh my," remarks former series artist Patrick Zircher.

I hope that Deadpool shows up in the new Loeb / McGuinness 'Cable Reborn' book. And also that Patrick Zircher does fill-ins for McGuinness since I don't think he's a monthly guy anymore.

Still one of the best series EVER. I wonder what kind of relationship they'll have when Cable's back - if any? It'd be a tragedy not to tap into some of their history together.
