Young Avengers: Presents is for you then. The first issue was great. :)
As for Runaways, once Whedon's arc is over thankfully we won't see these delays.

For now, I'm satiating my YA fix thru the Presents limited, but I'm still dying for a regular ongoing with all of them back together. As for Runaways? I've fallen into the apathy zone with that one. I still want to read it, but all these delays have left a bad taste in my mouth, and if the delays continue after this arc, I might just drop this book (or at the very least just switch to trade-waiting).

PRESENTS#1 was pretty good. the writers say how Patriot was really feelin .
I wish they'd had this issue when I was in 7th grade back in 94, as a young black kid I would've really appreciated it. good issue

I've been going through some Runaways withdrawls myself. Whedon's take on them has only been so-so for me, and I don't know what I'm going to do when Ramos starts drawing them. :(

I miss both books so damn much.
Brian K. Vaughan leaving Runaways to ensure the book's future by giving it to Whedon was his worst mistake ever. I can not wait for Whedon's abismal run to end so Moore and Ramos can hopefully bring new life to it.
As for the Young Avengers, at least we now got the YA Presents mini in the meanwhile. Hopefully Heinberg got the second season done during the strike, or Marvel should just give the book to someone else already before it loses its strenght.
Civil War should have affected both books greatly and led to some interesting stories, but instead it's been ignored altogether... the mini didn't really dweel into it, YA Presents doesn't seem like it's gonna deal with it and the Runaways are in some dull and ridiculously convulted time travel thing completely ignoring Vaughan's run ending. Good times.
Hawkeye by Matt Fraction
Really? That's awesome, this is gonna be some fine mini.

Going to have to respectfully disagree here. I wouldn't see his actions as a mistake at all. I don't believe Vaughn and Company even OWN the book they're working on. (This isn't the Icon or Vertigo line and I don't think this is like Chris Claremont's arrangement for Sovereign Seven in the DC universe--creator owned characters to be used exclusively by him and interact with the comic book universe at large). Marvel controls the rights to those characters so they have the right to publish and use those characters as they see fit. So, BKV leaving at the top of his game would make sense.
As delayed as this book has been (and full disclosure, I didn't come to this title until Whedon took it over--so I don't have all the backstory--I've just enjoyed it for what it is--and to be fair, I wonder if my reaction would change once I've read the preceeding run) I'd personally rather see a delay of the book if it manage to keep the same writer/artist team on any given arc. Reasons for the delay have been discussed elsewhere in this thread and others and I'm sure it's not any one person's fault.
There's another thread with the art samples for the upcoming Terry Moore and Humberto Ramos run. I'm looking forward to this, too. Moore has always been strong with characters and Ramos' art I think would be a good match for this.
I for one will be glad when Whedon's run is over. While I wouldn't say he's had everyone acting out of character, I don't think he particularly gets everyone either. I've basically found it to be ways of sticking one line of whedonesque dialogue after the other and it's incredibly jarring. This all made worse by Michael Ryan, who is as bland as ever. Really looking forward to this arc being over and the new creative team coming in (although, as much as I love Ramos, I'm not sure he will work out here, but am willing to see how it pans out)

I have never bought an issue of the Runaways before, but I am buying the future Ramos run for the art alone. So Humberto's art is converting me into a new Runaways fan.

Yeah, the lac of Runaways is REALLY starting to Beep me off now. I can't wait until this arc is over. Not becasue its not good, but the delays... *sighs* When I do pick up the next issue, I've forgotten what happened in the last one. I may for the rest of the arc just pick up the issues when they come out and put them away untill all the arc is out, and read the whole thing then. Bring on the new creative team!
Yep, I'm also missing YA - the series. I want an ongoing again! I've sent away for PRESENTS #1 (I but most of my comics online) and have't got it yet. So still not read it yet. But the preview looks good. I hope Marvel will have an ongoing again when they're done with this mini.

Vaughn HATES you! ;)
If you’re one of the handful of blowhards who criticized that drawing because you don’t like “big feet” or whatever, you are most likely a joyless grownup, and not only are you not who this series was intended for, you’re actually everything the heroes of the comic in question hate.

Has anyone considered that seeing the Skrull Invasion will be focusing on the Avengers Titles, that there could be some appearances from the YA? I mean - it's only natural to think something big is going to happen seeing that Hulkling is heir to the Skrull throne.

Considering Hulkling is part of the Skrull's poker deck, I'm assuming they do play a part.

For Beast:
I brought the idea up with a clerk at another comic book store and he said that he read it somewhere that if Hulkling though were ever to get involved the with the Secret Invasion it would probably going to involve a fleet of Skrulls sent to assassinate Teddy. Whether this be true or not, it would make an interesting story arch to add into things. I mean they've come after Teddy before in the Kree/Skrull mini war over the fact that he is heir to BOTH the Skrull and the Kree empire - which could bring up ANOTHER HUGE story arch but I'll just leave that out for now. Another thing to be brought up IS THE FACT that Kl'rt is not the the actual real Super Skrull, once again that falls into Teddy's Lap - which would add more fuel to the fire as a reason why skrulls might want him killed in the first place.
