Any chance he could come back in the Skrull Invasion stuff?

I don't see any particular reason why he would. And he's not really relevant to it beyond being the son of Capt Marvel. Besides, he's not actually dead, he's just split into a bunch of still-alive pieces in the dark dimension. If they bring him back, though, they'd have to address the thing put forward in thunderbolts that his very existence will end the universe and there is practically no way to counteract that happening.

I was hoping that was Genis on the AC covers before we knew it was Adam Warlock.

Horrible that he's actually gonna be gone for a prolonged time. And with M'Kraan Crystals and all powerful cosmic beings, anything in Marvel can be counteracted as Mephisto and Wanda have proven recently.

I would love to see Genis pop up in the new GotG series.

Just send him to some pocket universe. Let him collapse it. Problem solved.

The only way i would ever want to see him back is if the depowered him back to level he was before he was revamped as insanly powerful crazy guy. I never went from loving a book to hating a book so fast in my life as I did from the before and after Davids mideries revamp. David destroyed the character with his never ending "crazy" story.
Given that he's a cosmic plot device, it's hardly beyond the realm of possibility that he could return.
They only just brought back Mar-Vell, so I'm not sure it's a good idea to bring him back anytime soon though.
Though I'm sure once Monica decides to give herself a proper code name again, it will be all the motivation Genis needs to return from the grave and steal it.

As a good guy, he probably is too powerful.
That said, he'd make a great villain.

While I would tune down his powers a bit (really, the powers of superheroes should peak at Thor/Herald levels), I liked crazy Genis. He was fun. I would keep some element of that around.

King Thor and Sentry being unbeatable for entire storylines are still on the record and they still pushed those characters down throats.

Thor is powerful... but he's not powerful to destroy and reboot the universe like Genis was able to. That's a bit much.

I really liked him, sad that his book was canceled.
