Countdown has had numerous tie-ins and superfluous material out there but culling some of the pretty good ones has been a bit hard. That said I still think that there are a few titles that I thought were worth getting some of your feedback on so feel free to answer these questions on the following titles:
*Countdown Arena (Starring: Monarch and the DC superheroes plucked from their own 52 universes pitted against each other)
*Countdown: The Search for Ray Palmer (Jason Todd, Donna Troy, Kyle Rayner and Bob search for The Atom traversing among the 52 universes)
Countdown to Adventure (Starring: Animal Man, Starfire, Adam Strange & the Forerunner)
Countdown to Mystery (Starring: the new Dr. Fate, Eclipso, Plastic Man & the Spectre)
Salvation Run (DCU Villains ranging from big to obscure roaming around on a prison planet)
Death of the New Gods (Self Explanatory)
Questions
1) Did you enjoy it?
2) Why did you enjoy it?
3) How does it tie into Countdown and does it tie into Countdown in a satisfactory way?
*Paul, if you can please add these mini series to the poll options on top of the ones already there that would be cool. Thanks!

DEATH OF THE NEW GODS.
For whatever reason.......I'm not hating it, nor am I hating the death of my favorite characters.
I know. I don't get it either. But Starlin hasn't produced a piece of crap book (much to many people's chagrin?) so color me impressed and more interested as each issue comes out.

I voted for Death of the New Gods, but there are several other titles you really should have listed in the poll.

I voted for Death of the New Gods, but there are several other titles you really should have listed in the poll.
Which ones in particular?
The reason I didn't include the "Search for Ray Palmer" stuff was because there are almost too many issues to list. With these particular sets of titles there's a more specific group of issues that tie into Countdown and we can see and discuss which were better or more relevant towards Countdown/Final Crisis.
Personally, I didn't find that any of the "Search for Ray Palmer books" contributed a whole lot to Countdown since they found the actual Ray Palmer within Countdown itself unless there's something I missed.
I'd consider voting Countdown: Arena over all of these. I'd probably vote None of the Above instead, but it probably should be listed.

Just to get more in-depth:
A) Did you feel that when reading the Countdown to Final Crisis itself that reading Countdown Arena was beneficial in any way towards the story?
B) Did the results of the fights shown in Countdown Arena reflect the contents of the big fight between Monarch and the Monitors in Countdown to Final Crisis?
C) If you had just read Countdown without reading Arena, would you be confused?
*Ok you know what, just to encompass the other stuff I'll edit in the other mini's.

I voted for Countdown to Mystery not necessarily because it tied in well, but because its just a great, well written comic. Its dark and funny and I'm happy to see the Helmet of Fate back in the hands of a Nelson. I really hope that it goes on to become a regular series.
Also, I'm kind of new to the whole DCU and haven't really been reading Countdown, but I have been reading Salvation Run. Could someone explain to me how they're related.

What about Gotham Underground? It is a tie-in somewhat with the whole salvation deal. My vote goes to that book.

Which ones in particular?
Countdown presents: Lord Havok & the Extremists
Countdown: Arena
Gotham Underground
Captain Carrot and the Final Ark
Countdown presents: The Search for Ray Palmer (these can all be grouped together in spite of them all sporting a #1)
I think several of these are actually tied in more than the Adventure and Mystery titles. The lead stories in each of those has nothing at all to do with Countdown.
If you're going to have a poll allowing people to vote their favorite, you should at least give them the choice of any viable option, whether you personally care for it or not.

I really had a hard time choosing between these three titles and ended up voting for Salvation Run simply because it’s the funest one of the three. Adventure and Mystery are good, solid, and you really need to pay attention to what’s gong on or you might miss something.
Questions
1) Did you enjoy it?: this one is hard to say because none of them have ended yet, but so far yes.
2) Why did you enjoy it?: see above ^^, but so far simple because they involve my favorite characters… Lex, Joker, Starfire, Fate, and Eclipso and are fun reads.
3) How does it tie into Countdown and does it tie into Countdown in a satisfactory way?:Adventure: only the back story ties into Countdown and follows Forerunner on her quest of vengeance against the Monitors and it does so pretty well so far the issue 6 out today was best example yet.
Mystery: only the back story ties into Countdown and follows the Spectre quest to redeem or contain Eclipso. I’m kinda on the fence with this story, but it does tie into what’s going on in Countdown really well.
Salvation: shows where the disappearing villains have ended up and their quest to return to Earth, surviving each other and the monsters and traps all over the planet. This one ties into what’s going on in Countdown the best out of all the tie-in I’ve read yet.

Just curious but can you list specific reasons or examples that reveal pay off from those books in Countdown to Final Crisis itself? Were there many mentions in the Countdown book of the happenings in stuff like Gotham Underground and Captain Carrot?

Well I just wanted opinions on those four specifically but I thought "what the hell" and asked if a moderator could implement the others so it's all good.

Very cool, and yeah I felt the same way about Salvation Run. Dan Didio mentions that it's an important book to the first half of Dinal Crisis so that should be interesting.

Countdown to Mystery is really quite good and the Death of the New Gods is pretty enjoyable considering the story.
However, I voted for Captain Carrot. It had Starro. And Starro won.

Is Captain Carrot that cartoon world?

One of them. Captain Carrot and his Zoo Crew are the heroes of Earth-26, formerly Earth-C. There's also the cartoon Earth, Earth-C-minus, that more closely parallels the standard DC Earth (with the Just'a Lotta Animals, New Dogs, etc.).
Presumably, the Starro of the mini is leftover from the original Captain Carrot story way back when.

Wow that's some wild, wacky stuff. I have to admit, when I peeked inside the book it looked really awkward art wise but if it's that good I guess I'll check it out.

Countdown to Mystery, but ONLY the Dr. Fate half, don't give a rat's arse about the rest.

Salvation Run. I'm a sucker for villain books. And i note that it's now traditional for Psimon to get his visible brain squished every time a Crisis looms...:)

Yeah, I enjoy the Countdown to... books, but only the stories that don't have some connection to Countdown itself, which is why I was so pissed when Mystery suddenly switched Gerber and Justiniano's Dr. Fate story to the back up...
Though this past issue of Adventure had an enjoyable back-up. Forerunner's one bad ass chick.
