Just a quick self-plug I'm posting here as it's semi-on topic...

I have a webstrip that I've just returned to the net after a coupla year hiatus. The first storyline will have one of the main characters' response to the new Spidey status quo in general (and the deal with the devil in specific) running for the next couple of weeks. (Right now the strip is M-W-F but should be M-F before the end of February!)

The storyline is called - what else? - One More Brand New Day. There's gonna be some satirizing of the response, I admit. (And this is from one who is not happy about the Mephisto angle, so I guess the response it pokes fun at... is mine!)

www.burnhamania.com is the address -- and don't worry, I won't inundate with plugs. Just this one, for the sake of info.

Thanks for the indulgence, Spidey fans!

I thought it was going to be another boring rant on the "deal with the devil" but the reaction of your nerdy character was spot-on and very funny.

There's a "rant" on Wednesday... I have to poke fun at those too! (; Glad you liked it, thanks!

Hmmm...OK, don't take this personally, I liked it...it was amusing...but it would've worked much better for me if it had been in colour. It took me two or three reads to 'get' the last panel.

If the fanboy had been coloured green in the last panel it would've been obvious straight away and therefore had much greater comedic impact.

Of course, that's just my opinion and I'm certainly no artist, so take it with as big a pinch of salt as you like. :)

No offense taken, and I certainly understand it. I wish it could be in color as well, but THAT much time I don't have! (:

So, I gambled that the tattered clothes would help and, at worst, it'd be a delayed reaction.

Future jokes are more colorblind.

Thanks for reading and the thoughts!

Today's strip is one of my two favorites from the first batch I sat down to draw - the other is the pun on Monday.

"What would you do to fix the situation?"
