Hello. I'm Michael Pullmann, and like Marlene Dietrich, I do my own writing. (Someone please get that joke.) I don't get it all right on the first try, though, which is why I need beta readers.
Beta readers read the first draft of a story and tell me how much it sucks. But constructively. I need to know what's working, what's not, and what I can do to make the thing better so I don't embarrass myself when I submit it. Ideally, my beta readers would have some writing ability themselves, or at least know what makes a story good and how to explain it in small words, possibly with diagrams.
Don't sign up if you just want to read stuff and tell me how cool it is. I have my mom for that.
Also don't sign up if you just want to read stuff and not say anything at all. I have the publishers I submit to for that.
Right now, I have a story fresh out of the hopper. It's a horror story, hopefully one you haven't read before. (I once worked half an hour on something before I realized I was writing Crime and Punishment.) Since I plan to do this by email, you should either have the "email me from my profile" option turned on, or be willing to give me a working email address.
