I've been wondering this myself since I've enjoyed their journey the most. Most likely they've been put on the back burner until the Monarch/Superman Prime stuff boils over which seems to be in the next issue.

Uh, you do know that Trickster's dead, right?

Assuming Countdown bleeds straight into Final Crisis I can imagine most of the plots having a place in Final Crisis, except for the Piper/Trickster one. I really can't imagine where this is going

Yeah I do. But when last seen, Piper was still hauling (spoiler) his corpse around, they were still handcuffed together in the desert. Until hat cliffhanger they left us with... Several issues ago.
Haven't the snuck their way onto the prison planet? I remember that's what they were trying to do.

Really?? I guess it has been a while, I don't even remember that plot twist.
To be fair, though, it makes sense for not every - single - plot to be advanced each week, or for a few to take some time off. 52 did that; IIRC the Starfire/Strange/Animal Man plot sat untouched for over a month, after they defeated Lady Styx.

Hopefully we'll get back to them. I'm curious about the big Prime-Monarch battle that's coming out tomorrow but more excited about some of the other plotlines myself.
*FIRST POST IN A YEAR AND SOME MONTHS-I'M BACK AND I VOW NOT TO LET WORK GET IN THE WAY ANY LONGER!!!!!

No, they're stuck in the desert, as some of the previous posters said. They'd wanted to free some of the Squad's prisoners from the facility, but hightailed it out of there when they found out about the deportations.

I still think that the spoilery thing people have been hiding is really a (pun intended) trick and that Piper secretly took Monarch's place (hence Monarch's recent uncharacteristic quip about "picking out curtains"), while Trickster has secretly been a Monitor from the beginning.

........seriously, or are the reports of your (entertaining and fun, mind you) insanity actually true?! ;) :p

Personally, I wasn't that interested in their story. I've been more interested in Prime's quest and seeing the alternate Earths. But that's just me.

By the way, was it ever explained why Piper rejoined the rogues? I guess there were hints that he was a mole, but was that ever confirmed?

If he was a mole, why did he help kill Bart?
