Does anyone know where I can find Spanish Language comics for sale? I teach Spanish at the H.S. level, and I've been wanting to incorporate the comics into my lessons. Finding them has been a problem, though.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

I know they sell them in Mexico. I don't know if you are close to a border. Maybe someone can go get some and bring them back, although they are a bit behind the published issues here.

What specific comics are you looking for -- just DC comics, or any Spanish-language comics?

Well, I'd like GL Spanish language comics, but I'd settle for Spiderman or USpiderman in Spanish. I did find, and order, a GLC:Recharge in spanish that I ordered from Europe. So hopefully, that'd be fine.

Why not use comics that were originally written in Spanish, like Mafalda or La Familia Burron?

If you ordered comics from Europe I imagine they are in Spanish from Spain, which would differ in terms and might be a little bit hard for your students to understand (you'll see a lot of voceo and different conjugations of verbs).

awesome idea, La Familia Burrón was awesome, and Mafalda was great, even high school kids can understand the subtle critique to governments from that little girl. Although, if you are looking for "mainstream" titles in Spanish in order to get their attention, then Mafalda and La Familia Burrón are not the way to go, but give them a try, they are awesome, if not for the students you will sure get a laugh at out them.

Marvel seems to be making a push for these recently. They just released a Fantastic Four One-Shot, Isla de la Muerta, in both English and Spanish editions. (The spanish version is supposed to ship today 1/23 but I think it's delayed) Also, in the most recent previews they solicited spanish editions of the first 12 issues of Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men in TPB. Those might be pricier then you were looking for though.

You'll really like issue #26 of BLUE BEETLE.
Actually, you should be buying the book anyway because of how awesome it is.
