Marvel Comics Solicitations for April, 2008

I love the Initiative's cover. Surely gonna buy the DD oneshot. Djurdjevic is one of the greatest artists right now. Look at that GR cover, or Mighty Avengers... What I don't like about Moon Knight's solicitations those past months is that they are the same, but it seems Benson knows his Moon Knight facts, so I really am prepared to enjoy this! Why marvel?!?! Why Chaykin on PWJ????? Ccan't wait for the Logan mini, and oh yeah, another premier HC!!!! I have been obsessed with those things lately! And it's the original Punisher mini!!!!!

GIANT-SIZED ASTONISHING X-MEN #1 - delayed into April, may yet go further; I really don't care anymore, I must say.
CAPTAIN AMERICA #37 - consistently kick-ass.
FANTASTIC FOUR #556 - looking forward to seeing what Millar and Hitch have up their sleeves.
INCREDIBLE HERCULES #116 - fast becoming one of my favourite series.
MIGHTY AVENGERS #12 - I'm still unsure about SI, but I'm interested in Fury's story.
MS. MARVEL #26 - this book is probably counting down to cancellation, sadly, but I'll enjoy it to the end.
THOR #8 - delayed into April; I hope they've added a second fill-in arc after Djurdjevic to give Coipel more time (if he's even still on).
UNCANNY X-MEN #497 - ooh, mysterious solicit.
X-FORCE #3 - see above.
YOUNG AVENGERS PRESENTS #4 (of 6) - I love YA, and I enjoy Cornell's work (and the premise sounds fun).

Maybe:

AVENGERS FAIRY TALES #2 (of 4) - may trade-wait, or not buy at all.
IRON MAN: LEGACY OF DOOM #1 (of 4) (probably trade-wait on that, to go with the DoomQuest hardcover)
SECRET INVASION #1 (of 8) - will probably depend on advance reviews, and if Yu's art is better than the abortions he produced on NA.
THOR: AGES OF THUNDER - eh, could be fun.
X-MEN DIVIDED WE STAND BOOK 1 (of 2) (Qu'est que ce ca?)
X-MEN: LEGACY #210 - basically waiting post-MC to see what the lay of the land is.
X-FACTOR #30 - see above.
YOUNG X-MEN #1 - see above.

From the looks of the Ms.Marvel solicit, there is a real Ms.Marvel active in the MU. Whether its the one we are seeing now, or if she will be back in time for this cross over to defeat her skrull imposter - or vice versa - is unclear.

Secret War looks good. LOVE the idea of Hercules vs. Ikaris. The Eternals need to feature more. Like the "skrullification" of the old-school covers.

The Initative looks promising, I love Slott and Gage on this title. Pity it's starting to get delayed, and that Steffano Casseli is no longer doing the art...

Secret Invasion looks like it's gonna be moving fast. I sure appreciate that. But I fear the skrull covers will become the new zombie...

With both Avengers titles featuring heavily into this, and probably one book getting cancelled after the crossover, I wish we had seen more of both teams before they get disassembled - again. I really liked the government sponsored and street-level teams rivalry.

I'm looking forward to Thor's one-shot by Fraction, but the delays on the main book are frustrating.

Young Avengers Presents features the Vision... I can't say he's my favourite character, but I love Mark Brooks art.

That's what I was thinking as well. So far, all of this arc solicits are exactly the same. I dunno if it's the books contemplative pace that keeps moving around the same subjects, or they just don't wanna spoil it. I enjoyed Benson's first issue, and I'm sure excited to see what he does with the Black Spectre and Moon Knight's registered status.
