You'll probably want to wait untill this arc is over before jumping on. I'd recomend getting the previous Trades to try and catch up, especialy the Extremis trade. it lays quite a bit of the background for what's going on these days.

Shouldn't have to backtrack too far. And the post-Planet Hulk arc is as accessible as any.

I just started reading IM recently with #24. The recap page did a very good job of bringing me up to speed. I didn't have any problems following the story although I may not have catched all subtleties.
Anyway, I was pretty impressed with the writing and the art. I will continue buying this for the time being, although I wonder what will happen to the Mandarin storyline once Secret Invasion hits.

I'm also about to hop back into this series. This weeks issue will be the first one that I've gotten in quite some time. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to figure out what's going on.

Really? It's a shame cause it's a really good book. I hate IM, always didn't like him, but that's even more a reason for this book! I started with the "director of SHILED" thing and didn't have problems. Grab whatever issues you can find, this is what there are those recap pages...
