It look like Marvel has FINALLY figured out a way to Boost up the sales on Amazing Spider-girl.

As the daughter of Spider-man faces off against Arana, the supposed 616 Spider-girl and current supporting character in the MS. Marvel title line. :D

So I suggest any ASG fans check out the new solicts for the daughter of Spider-man...

That makes sense. That character's been in it already.

Hahahahahaha!

Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to it. I just find it funny that Arana is seen as the way they're "finally gonna boost" sales. I think more people have been to the moon than read that comic.

You do know that Spider-girl predates Arana by several years. :p

Perhaps they are just trying to milk off more of the brand new day hype.

What type of relationship do arana and may have in the future?

They actually have very little interaction with each other, other than the fact that they both appeared within hte first issue of Spider-man family and recently stared within Amazing Spider-girl #14. :D :D

I have wanted to pick up ASG the past couple of months, but they're always sold out by the time I get off of work. I haven't put it on a pull list since I haven't had a chance to try it out.

I hope Spider-Girl kicks Arana's ass. Well it is May's comic so she'll most certainly win. And from the looks of things Ron Frenz is starting to make Spider-Girl's eyes a little bigger again. I like that.

To be frank, i'd rather see what Defalco would do to Mattie Franklin.

Considering the first Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) appeared in an issue of the first SG series (with her son,Gerry, attempting to claim the name Spider-Man),this seems like an idea worth considering.

Mattie was universally reviled, but it wouldnt be too farfetched to think she could eventually turn on Madame Web the same way her daughter did, she was an emotionally frail character at best from her experiances with Peter.

I don't like how badly arana gets PWNed in that. Christ, she's a super hero with more experience than may and rivals her in every way. Oh well. Win some, lose some.

I know jack about Arana but I was gonna start buying ASG even before I heard about this. Here's to hoping it's a good fight.

seriously, i think Arana in Spider-Girl is a really good idea. can only benefit both the characters, AND it makes perfect sense

Yea but she doesn't have Spider powers. Arana is a poor mans Spider-Girl thus of course May would win.

Looking forward to this. I think this book is going to need another fan resurrection soon. I guess we will see...

There's probably much more to it than meets the eye. Perhaps Arana is testing her? I bet she's going to use Spider-Girl to defeat the Black Tarantula.
