Has anyone been picking up the Revised editions? I have the original tpbs but I'm a sucker for new and thick collections. Is it worth it?

Has anyone picked up Burst? Until today I assumed that they just reprinted the regular tpbs flipped. D'oh!

I been gettin' 'em both, and they're pretty damn sweet. They just wrapped up the original series with volume 04, and I have no idea how far GSC:Burst goes but I'm looking forward to the next one.

I'd forgotten that Sonoda likes to push that loli button pretty hard sometimes (though I don't suppose he crosses the line into outright pervert territory), but he's hard to beat when it comes to gunfights and car chases. The car chases I find especially impressive, because it's hard to capture the same energy and thrill of a hi-speed chase in still imagery, but Sonoda nails it every time.

I've been rereading this and Alita in the new editions. The 90's live!

Inkthinker, I totally agree. Sonoda draws a better car chase than most you'll see filmed. Impressive stuff.

The new editions are great. I have most of the original Dark Horse editions in singles, so I'm glad to get these in a much more convenient form, and unflipped is a bonus.

According to Amazon, Burst Vol. 3 comes out next week. Looking forward to it.

Having 'em unflipped is espescially nice since the events of GSC take place in Chicago, and Sonoda was always pretty good about putting cars on the right side of the road, and drivers on the left side of their cars (opposite of Japan), and of course in the old flipped editions that was mirrored and consequently always looked wrong. Now it's much, much better.

Collecting them both because I missed several volumes and I left them in the 'States. Forcibly reminded how warped Goldie proved... and how much of a perv Sonada is.

One quirk I'm finding in some of the new unflipped editions, they don't always remember to update the dialogue. When characters refer to right or left in the new editions, sometimes it doesn't match now. Heh.
