Cable and Deadpool have always been a good foil for each other and they have fun interactions. So now with the close of this series and the release of their new series which character really brought in the fans to buy this title.
I personally bought it for both of them cus for awhile neither of them appealed to me in solo books.

I bought it for Cable.
Stayed for Deadpool.
Loved both of them and the way they played off each other. It was great.

I bought it for Deadpool.
Stayed for Cable.
The series made me love Cable after not really liking him much. As for Deadpool I came off Simone's run and Fabian's never quite lived up to that for me. Also Zircher's artwork in the first half was just excellent.

I hated Cable before this book, but Fabien made me like him. He and Wade played against each other very well.

I bought #3 because Xavier was in it. I like funny comics, so I bought more. Didn't know Cable or Deadpool at first, came to like Deadpool better.

Bought it for Deadpool.
Stayed for Deadpool.
Got the additive goodness of Cable with a god complex, and Bob, Agent of HYDRA, the poor schlub stuck as a terrorist.
Fabes made me care about Cable, for once. He kept Deadpool at an excellently comedic peak.

Deadpool, even though I only started reading after Cable died earlier. He's the reason I'm going to be picking up Wolverine: Origins.

Deadpool, plain and simple.
I haven't read it since the whole Gambit v. Cable thing, though, so I don't know what's gone on since.

I bought the book initially for Cable.
When paired, I enjoyed Deadpool more.
They worked well as a pair, and their personalities brought out the best in each other.
W/o Cable, Deadpool is not nearly as funny, and is just an onslaught at attempts for humor, which only gets old. Not surprising I dropped it after the Captain America and Deadpool issue.

I bought it cos it was a X-Book and as i had just started reading comics i was getting them all.
I absolutely loved both characters though and it has been the only book, since I've been reading comics, that, for me, hasn't dipped in quality at some point.
Consistant as f**k.

I'd say the attraction I had to this book was purely that it was different. It was funny, it poked fun at itself and other books and characters in Marvel's line. That worked for me.
It's the same reason I bought titles like Nextwave and Great Lakes Avengers.
But I didn't buy it for one character or the other. I rarely buy any book these days for that reason.

I initially bought it for Cable, but it was definitely a vessel for Deadpool. I dropped it after the fist arc to save money.

Cable! Ended up being amused enough by Deadpool to make me definitely want to stay.

No bullsh*t..
For me it was the odd-couple factor. Cables faith in Wade from the start and Wades defiance was basically real life in comicbook panels. Alot of people said they hated Cable, but Cable was f#$%in bad ass throughout that book. You even got to see a dope ass friendship form between opposites.
So for me Cable was a huge factor in the series, (now I'm going to 'nerd the f#@$ out'), Cable is like my 4th favorite favorte Marvel character now.
Can't forget Bob either, I woulda liked to see him accidently hit Johnny Storm in the FF4 appearance.
Example: (Bob is in hidding, Johnny taps Bob on his shoulder, Bob freaks out and throws a blind punch that KO's Johnny. The whole joke is that Bob, even though he's always scared still has enough stength to Knock Out the average guy. Johnny's all laid out unconcious cause his power is just fire and heat, meanwhile he keep's his other human attributes, like a glass jaw lol.)
But Bob getting to shoot dinosaurs made up for all my lacking Bob fantasies..

Well, to be fair neither of them brought in all that many readers, as the book's sales were not good.
Having said that, what if Marvel decided to change the line-up of the new X-Force team six months to a year down the road and put Cable and Deadpool on the team? That could definitely rock IMO.

Much like Luke Cage and Iron Fist, I'm sure that Cable and Deadpool will join forces again at some point in the future. C&D ended up complimenting each other so well that I'm sure someone will eventually want to bring that dynamic back.

For me it was the odd couple factor. When I saw the previous I was like "WTF???????" I was sssssooooooooo disapointed over Tichman's (sp) Cable so I saw it as freash start. I liked Deadpool but I never had read any of his books. I droped the book after the first arc due to money problems. I returned for CW and stayed, and got so pissed that I have dropped this great book!
Bought it because I'd heard alot about Deadpool and wanted to see what he was like.
Then stayed because I thought Deadpool was awesome, and I began to like Cable.

Bought it for both !
I'm a Cable fan since Jeph Loeb's run and a Deadpool fan since Joe Kelly's run. And Nicieza made the two of then work very well.

I'm a big Deadpool fan, but thats not why I first read the book. After 9 or 10 years, I got back into comics for the civil war and I got the CnD tie in with the Great Lakes Avengers. Laughed my ass off. So, I got the whole collection, and I'm glad I did. Loved the first 2 arcs. And now they have Bob. Bob is awesome. I even have a gallery devoted to DP on my PR account.
So I guess I bought it out of randomness and stayed for Deadpool.
And Bob.
