Sorry if this has been posted before, but check out these new DC Action Figures. Taking a note from the Marvel Legends series, they're more posable than the other DC Direct Figures. The designs are superb.

I REALLY like that Green Lantern figure. When's Wave 3 hitting?

These are the Four Horsemen figures (who did the 2002 He-Man & MOTU figures, and many MOTU statues since) which are just going to be SOOOOOOO superior to most DC figures produced in the past. :)

These do look really good.

What's the verdict on the current wave of figures? I have a little trepidation about some of them due to the figures not having ball joints at the hip which could make for some awkward poses.

Dang, those are really nice.

Robin, Nightwing, Green Lantern, and Aquaman must be mine ;)

But seriously, Superman Red and Blue? Really?

The Marvel Legends figures are sad examples of action figures, skinny and too damn jointy. I like the Superman/Batman & JLA Classified type figures, they're soild and the kids I know tend to like them better. When will Marvel start making good action figures again? I just hope DC doesn't start doing this to their figures, the last Superman figures were like this.

I'd like to have Nightwing and Robin. When will those be released?

I like the Sinestro Corps variant on Sinestro. Overall, I like wave 3 better than 2. Also, I like the fact that they are mixing in more obscure characters with well known ones. Who would've ever chosen Orion for wave 1?

Wow. Gonna need to get that Nightwing.

I agree. While it looks like these DC figures will be more articulated than the old DC Direct figures, they won't be as "jointy" as the Marvel Legends ones, which is good news. Like the DC Direct figures, it looks like they still pose well, unlike the ML figures which could come of looking a little gangly. Overall, I'm very impressed. The Nightwing and Harley Quinn are must-haves.

The only Marvel Legends figure I like is the Ultimate Hulk, it towers over all other figures the way a Hulk should.

That's the Marvel Select Ultimate Hulk , not Marvel legends. Anyway , DC Direct Mongul should beat Ultimate hulk for size , he's nearly 9" tall and towers over every DC direct standard figures and Marvel Legends. ;)

i don't know the exact hight of it but Lantern series Kilowog is also pretty big compared to a normal size figure.

Kage, those AMI-Comi figures are indeed very nice. Can't wait until the Hawkgirl one (http://wizarduniverse.com/_images_/006018/AME-ComiHawkgirl.jpg) comes out.

Speaking of hight, does anyone know exactly WHY the Superman/Batman series 2 Hawkman was so huge compared to the other figures? This has been bothering me for awhile. Did DC Direct mess up on the mold size?

DC direct size are not always consistent , their superman/batman hawkman seemed to suffer that problem.
Their earlier superman/batman darkseid got it right though , that darkseid was big and cut an imposing figure (not as big as Mongul though).

The green lantern/sinestro should have been reserved for an sinestro corps war action figure series because they should made a big 8"-9" anti-monitor figure instead of the crappy 6" figure they currently only have for Anti-monty and that figure is really poor.

I agree. Overly jointed figures end up looking awkward. I'm old enough to have money for statues/busts, but for younger kids or people watching their bankroll a figure should look good. I've felt DC's action figures have been superior to Marvel's all along, hopefully they don't go the way of the Marvel Legends figures.
Deathstroke looks cool! just to add that in.

Around what year did Marvel start changing their figures, around 1997? And talk about bankroll, $14-$16 for 1 figure? I grew up on Super Powers and Secret Wars hero figures, myself. Now I buy my son these figure and it's like I'm a kid again. I easily must have spent around $300 for the 20+ figures he already has. I must be crazy.
