No, wait. Be a lemming. Just follow me instead.
The cliff I'm running off isn't quite as high up, we'll probably survive.
Anyways, if you're like the vast majority of the online population, you've never been to my website.
I'd like to invite you to go now that I can update it regularly. I've got a big announcement in a couple weeks here and want all the eyes I can get on it when it happens. lol.
But for now, just doodles. (And to those who gave me ideas in the HELP ME thread, those drawings are in various stages around my desk. The Johnny/Jesse/Liberty doodle turned into an Incredibles bit with a younger Jesse and I kinda like it!)
I digress.
Here's the site:

And now, there is no more hyping.
I go back to skrull thread. They understand me there.
Why is everybody looking a me funny now?

Urban myths have a way of sustaining themselves especially when the story sounds good.

Oh, I don't know. I've tried to get people to go to your website before. ^_~ Turns out we met briefly back in 2006 for Minnesota's Fall Con. I got a little commission out of you!

Lemmings don't actually jump off a cliff like that. Nature legend.

I hear different.
See, Lemmings repdroduce at a HUGE rate, and this means that food runs out. Thus, this large group of lemmings now has to rush to find food. When they reach a cliff or similar the ones at the front try to stop, but the ones at the back push forward not knowing of the danger. Thus, they all go off the cliff.
In other words while the Disney movie was faked, they do go flying off cliffs and the like in mass.

I was going to make a flip comment here until I saw the post about doing a sketch card to support a cancer charity. My mother died of cancer and I'd support anything to help cancer research. Go you.

Nope. They will jump cliffs to get to the water, which they swim in. They may die of exhaustion, but not of jumping off the cliff.

Funny how I decided to click on this thread title whilst reading a biography on Chairman Mao...

There's this great Disney nature film from the 1950's about Lemmings that in fact ends with a large group of them jumping off a cliff and into the sea to drown.
It was only a couple of years ago that I found out that what had really happened was that the Disney filmcrew had in fact just tossed them over the side themselves when they wouldn't jump.
Edit: I see that someone beat me to the Disney story. Still I've seen the film and knowing what I do now, its one creepy little piece of celluloid.

Man, that's creepy, even for Disney's standards.

Yep.
The jump won't kill them.
It's the sudden stop that kills them....

That's okay - if someone else isn't being flippant, I will be. So no worries. (And yes, on a serious note, I'm glad to participate in this.)

Goodness. I didn't expect there to be literal things taken with the lemming jibe!
I was playing fast and loose with a widely known cliche!

More often than not, I wind up just killing them.
