I apologize if this topic has been done before....I DID search but came up with nothing. So, simple enough concept....mention (or better yet link) a time that something happened in an X-men (or related title) made you smile or laugh.

C & DP, true. Most issues of "X-Factor" v.3, too.
However, the second half of Mr. Austen's "Holy War" (UXM #424) was so stupid and so obviously written without doing any real research (if, as I am, the reader is Catholic), that I howled with laughter.

I was thinking maybe, more of an actual example....
AN instant that springs to my mind is the issue of Uncanny directly after the (terrible) Onslaught saga, when Jean & Scott are cooking breakfast for everyone. It was a feel good issue (after a big, depressing crossover) During some cheerful banter earlier in the title, Beast, Cyclops and Iceman kind of goofingly attacke each other with their powers. At the close of the title, with everyone present to partake in the meal, Beast says grace and it goes (something)like this...
beast, trying to keep it simple In four sylablyes...Thanks...for everything. Amen.
Gambit, being a smart ass Dat was FIVE syl-
Wolverine interrupts Clam it, Cajun!
Unknown voice.....presumeably JeanGambit, don't you DARE throw that pancake!
CyclopsGot it! Zank
It was a nice close, on a high note for (an otherwise) melancholy issue, left to the imagination, and fun.
I personally miss "baseball" or "mall shopping" issues, myself.

I have a really dumb sense of humor that rears it's head at the most inopportune times, so most ~*DRAMATIC*~ moments will get a giggle out of me )8
But most of any version of PAD-written X-factor and X-men:First Class will probably keep me in stiches. Most recently though, any time I see Cable with the baby strapped to him I can't help but immaturely snicker.

But that laughter was in madness and the sheer inability to understand how somebody could have pissed on all those characters so bad...

Gah, I cant believe I cant find a scan of it online, but the whole scene in New X-Men #42, when Beast is teaching Rockslide about his powers.
Colossus: Are you sure he can tell time?
Beast: Not entirely...

Beast looking up: Ah, here he comes now.

That above issue for New X-men was great.
Although, might seem odd to some, but the Claremont writen issue with Mojo in it recently with his Exiles as atternies(sp?) at law. I found really funny. Mainly due to the way they were running everywhere.

Any issue of GenX by Bachalo and Lobdell were almost always laugh-out-loud funny.
Jubilee: Climbing trees, that's like so second grade.
Monet: As an authority on all things immature Jubilee, I'll just have to take your word on that.
Or when Skin tells Paige that maybe they should ditch scrabble and try something a little more physical. Paige replies "we all have dreams, Angelo."
Excaliber by Claremont and Davis was also usually hillarious.
Its funny - until Skottie Young took over art chores I never dug New X-Men. He sort of has that Bachalo sort of way of really upping a books game.

Reaching back a bit, back when the X-men (led by Storm) in Australia and they lampoon DC's Invasion as Logan, Havok, Colossus and Longshot enjoy a boys night out. The X-men played the straight parts, but the alien scenes were hilarious, especially with all the cameos.
"Jean Bomb" indeed.

Another episode in recent New X-Men history that made me laugh out loud is when Pixie is talking everyone's ears off in the infirmary, says that Dr. Strange is going to take her as an intern and Beast dryly remarks they are hoping Strange will take her sooner than he said.

Doesn't she remind you of Sniffles, the cartoon mouse?
OK, how about the recap page for "X-Men: First Class", v.2, #6?
[The background is Space. Our usual headshots of the main characters are drawn as constellations: Scott, Bobby, and Jean in the left margin; Xavier, Hank, and Warren in the right margin. The lettering is yellow and made to look like the opening narration for the Star Wars movies, except in three places where it's pink.]
Once upon a time, a long long long long long long long long long long -
PINK LETTERING: BOBBY!
Sorry. Once upon a time, there was a cool bald guy that could make people do stuff, but instead of making people give him money or forcing cheerleaders to go out with him, he decided to help other people that could do cool things, and tell people that they don't need to be afraid of people just because they're different. So he opened a school to five kids. They've got laser eyes, wings, big hands and feet, pink mind-movey powers and there's a smooth-talkin' babe magnet who can do stuff with ice -
PINK LETTERING: BOBBY...
These are their stories. They're the X-Men. We're thinking about changing the name to Bobby the Lady Killer and the B-Men.
PINK LETTERING: THAT'S IT --
MUCH LARGER YELLOW LETTERS: OW!

I think that covered anything I could have said. :D
Could anyone post a scan of the "I object!" scene? If I remember correctly, and it's the one where the telepathic conversation is being revealed, that is the page of Astonishing I loved more than anything else I'd ever read on X-Men. If not, it's still hilarious. I'm going to miss Whedon's Emma/Kitty-catfight a lot!

A few issues of X-Factor have some chuckles in them.
Also, I just read the X-Cutioner's Song TPB, and that was comical for the bad art, hilarious body poses (especially Bobby and Psylocke), and some of the dialogue (such as when Meltdown cracks on Psylocke for striking a "ninja" pose in battle after knocking a MLF badguy out, or when Psylocke threatens to kill an unconscious Xavier...that was just weird and laughable--can you imagine if she did that without telling anyone and all the other guys found out...WTF Psylocke you crazy ninja).

That was funny -- and even funnier when I got some back issues of the first "New Mutants" series and read the scene where Xavier lectured Sam. (Imagine their reaction if they'd seen the leather fetish outfit before Xavier took most of the leather off.)
I laughed at the panel in "Excalibur" v.3, #2, in which Xavier said, "A good beginning, my old friend. But what is more important is that, together... ... we can try to build something better." Behind him, Callisto has her lips tight and her eye turned toward Magneto. Magneto has his arms crossed and is frowning. To the far right, Freakshow has a carefully neutral expression and his visible eye is turned away. The only person who is actually looking at Xavier is Wicked -- and her expression suggests that she thinks he's a candidate for the Looney Bin. :D (I think Xavier forgot that he wasn't among loyal students/former students.)
