I am ze sap. Last couple of nights on CoH I've been screaming down the skypeline at my teammates due to my char's inability to turn corners. The mouse control would suddenly seize up. As it was an optical mouse, I just cleaned whatever dust I could find and assumed that would do the trick. Course it didn't. While passing a computer store on my way to pick up breakfast (caffeine & scone) I thought to maybe pick up a cheap replacement.

Now maybe I was hyperglaecemic (when I'm not a hypochondriac that is), but after telling my tale of woe, the Kiwi on staff offloaded this monstrousity of a gaming mouse on me. It's a thing of beauty, it glides across the screen, I'm going to try it out on my mastermind villain Jacob Ladder now, but....why the frick did I buy it!? €100?

a $30 Logitech trac-ball for years. You don't need the space you have to have for a mouse and to clean it you just lift the ball out of the base and give it a quick dusting.

I think it's a mistake to spend too much money on the things because they do wear out after a few years though, especially if you do a lot of gaming.

You shouldn't have buyers remorse. Having a really good mouse is SO worth it. Especially when gaming.

It will pay for itself tenfold with stress alleviated and foes defeated!

I want to mock but you are looking at the guy who had to replace a two thousand dollar laptop because he accidentally reversed over it with his car a couple of years back :o

Wasn't it hard to get the "new" laptop out of the library? :p

by the way, aren't you on strike?

But yeah, been using a logitech track ball for four years, no problems.

No way would I pay $150 for a mouse.

So is this a jewel inlaid mouse that makes the tea for you?

I mean I did have a similar experience a couple of months ago, when I went looking for a new mechanical pencil, and they talked me into buying an expensive super special one. But it was only about twice the price of a regular one, not ten times.

I did that, and I was suckered into buying a new (and...uh, pricey) gaming keyboard about a year ago, when I started my new job and suddenly had money. I've...only just started using it to game.

So it's a...wow, $250AUS mouse. Good for you! :)

Look at it this way. In the near future you won't even miss the money but that mouse should last you forever. Anyway given how much most of us spend on comics can we really judge you?
