A New Genesis? Shizuno talks "Evangelion 1.0"

Co-director Kobun Shizuno talked "Evangelion 1.0: You (Are) Not Alone" at the first New York Anime Festival in December, and CBR News was there to catch his remarks and speak to Shizuno about his next project, "Cross Climb."

Hmm.. I find it interesting that the voices and animation was done dubbing first and then matching animation to the dub. What I've heard, that's more typical in the American animation industry.

It's only typical for the animated film industry... not so much for television.

First movie came out in Japan a while back; Asuka won't (re)appear till the second movie.

Those Cross Climb designs look... bad. Really bad. I feel like studying them so I can identify whatever it is they're doing wrong and avoid it in my own drawings.
