it seems that with COUNTDOWN ARENA, most of the major heroes from each universe other than DCU are dead so how will the story of each universe stay afloat. to me it seems that this is all an effort to go back on the major revelation of 52

I believe the opposite will happen: I think Final Crisis will actually EXPAND the multiverse into a megaverse.

I think that none of these universes matter because they are going to be split themselves and expand back to the infinite earths format.

I mean think about it. They are killing off heroes faster and more liberally that I would eat a bag of m&ms. These earths don't mean anything.

I mean they made GBG Batman a Vampire. Think about it.

Agreed, they're killing off and really using the 52 universes at the expense of Countdown's happenings and to build Monarch's army. Some of them have been well executed while others were far too short and lame.

There has to be more coming.
