So I ask this and yes this kind of takes place on the outskirts of the X-Men universe, but was anyone mad that Marvel put out a Sentinel One Squad mini I believe that featured the characters and then decided to that they should be turned into transmode goo?

Well, they never really did a lot, so I can't say I'm terribly upset.

I'm annoyed that the awesomeness of pilot-driven giant robots was squandered, though. And that the Sentinels never combined to form a huge Mega-Sentinel.

Go Go Sentinel Rangers! :)

I feel bad for that one guy that was friendly towards the kids and helped in the Magik arc. I would have liked to seen more interaction between him and the X-Men.

Do we know for sure that all the Sentinel pilots are dead?

Yeah, I doubt they were all dead. Just the ones that were on duty.

Frankly, they were useless... and the storyline was pointless. Since everyone had to make the Sentinels look like complete ineffective chumps just to do storyarcs with the X-Men. What with either the X-Men or the bad guys managing to effectively making them pointless? Such as when Stryker attacked the mansion.

Not really. All they did was stand guard and then get their asses kicked when a villain came along.

Lex (or Lexx?) was nice to the kids.

But the pilot that X-23 stabbed... are claws through the chest killing poeople these days? Possibly.

Claws though the chest don't seem to necessarily kill mutants because they seem to be more resilient. The pilots, however, probably aren't as strong.

Yes, it's too bad Lex had to go. The other pilot who wanted to spy on the girls, good riddance to him!

Well my fave Xbook was new xmen and i have to say when i read the uncanny issue and all the pilots turn silver i was kinda sad that Lex had succumbed to that same fate... the magic arc in new xmen showed him really helping the kids and the fact he used to be a mutant as well, i dunno i just felt as if he shouldnt have died (or im just bein weird, lol)

Couldn't care less. They were a total waste of panel space for all the good they did. And honestly was ANYONE really surprised they ended up trashing the mansion eventually?

I feel bad for ONE squad since the X-Men have been giving them the cold shoulder and telling them they have been doing a bad job at the protecting them.

Considering what's been happening, do you honestly blame them? The Sentinels have proved useless.

The poll question is the opposite of the thread question.
You should not do this.

As long as you actually bother to read the poll question, there's nothing wrong with it.

They're giant robots. I mean you can almost anything when you driving a giant robot. :o (I would love to have giant robot :D Though technically they're too powerful for their own good. I think they should have been protecting the earth from giant monsters instead of the X-Men who didn't want their help in the first place...

I was utterlly disappointed with the Sentinel story in X-Men. It had potential, but no one on the X books used that potential. I'll give props to Yost and Kyle for making them seem useful after their first arc though.

I'll miss Lex. He totally should have hooked up with Pulse.

I feel bad about every aspect of their appearance in X-men up to and including their deaths. The original mini was fun and awesome and an all around good read. Them M-day came and like everything else in the X-verse, ruined it.

It was incredibly frustrating to watch these awesome characters sitting around looking like dopes and making 'its a living' jokes, but I had hope that once MCX and the Civil War /Secret Invasion crap was done, we might get some more giant robot stories. And of course the writers couldn't resist adding some doom and gloom for no reason...

*sigh* Being a fun an engaging character is like hemlock enema in mainstream comics...
