Sharon Carter?

Can someone tell me how old she is supposed to be? i used to think she was in her mid-20's but Steve Epting draws her she looks like shes 17 and it kind of freaks me out a little bit.

No, that was Sharon.

Sharon was originally the younger sister of Cap's World War II love interest, Margaret "Peggy" Carter, but as the passage of time made that completely untenable, they made her Sharon's aunt.

Yeah, I thought when Jack Kirby drew her, that she should have been in her late 20s, early 30s, but the way she's been drawn SINCE then, she's always been younger.

The original girlfriend was also mentioned in that self-same story that introduced both Sharon (as Agent 13) and Batrok the Leaper. The original WWII sweetheart was just a plot device to get Cap to be interested in and pursue Sharon. In fact, there was some indication that the girl agent had developed amnesia as a result of the radiation containination that she suffered. Much later in the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby Tales of Suspense serials, they revealed that Agent 13 WAS that girl...and had been working for SHEILD all along... I think t he whole story is contained in the second Marvel Masterworks Captain America volume.

The Sharon Carter flashback in Cap #25 shows her as a little girl in an apartment with 70s decor. I'm guessing that she met Cap as a rookie agent in her early 20s, and since that was close to the beginning of the 10-12 year Marvel sliding scale, she's in her early 30s now.

And I think Epting reflects that--she's a gorgeous thirty-something in the prime of her life.

Seriously, she has like perfect Romita cheeks. If they ever get around to doing the Cap movie,they could do a lot worse.

Funny thing is, I don't think it is so much that Epting is using Larter as a base, so much as he is using Romita as an inspiration (Romita being Marvel's all-time top romance guy), and Larter is just a Romita girl come to life.

I agree on the Larter-Agent 13 casting comparison. I'd prefer someone who has more defined acting chops, but she looks perfect...

larter no thank you, keri russel or diane krueger would be better in my view. And yes Sharon is in early thirties, though epting had been drawing her a bit different from the beggining
