Brian Bendis helps us handicap the latest Avenger-on-Avenger melee with the symbiote wild card thrown in!

This would be cool if we didn't already know how the story ends. ;)

I would've liked a cover shot with the two Avengers teams going at it, but it occurs to me, we just had one, didn't we?

Yeah, but this one could've been drawn by Bags and he's a much better artist

Im hoping symbiote spidey gets some play. It's not a leap of logic to suggest that the he should adapt and 'control' the symbiote the best, and hopefully we'll get a few references.

It's kind of interesting how this symbiote virus had a much easier time taking control of Peter (or at least seemingly did... we'll see) than the actual symbiote Spidey had.

But then again, Peter's symbiote at least initially seemed pretty nice. You can hardly recognize the thing these days in TBolts.

it's had a hard life.

I wonder if that life was made any easier by Pete's deal with Mephisto?

Well technically, on the bright side, Pete has no job, bills, and no significant other in his life to notice.

it's had a hard life.

It hasn't eaten since Carnage became popular. And just when we thought it might eat again, it hunger striked during the Clone Saga and has been starving ever since.

I wonder what is that magical ingredient in both brains and chocolate that keeps Venom truckin'.

What I want to know is just where did the orb that carried the symbiot virus come from? Who's satellite had it and was it "knocked free" or was it ejected?

If the satellite was Stark's, did he know it was aboard? Or, was it a stowaway that got loose by accident?

I've combed over those two pages and it comes from a black colored satellite. I'm guessing that among Stark's satellites Dr. Doom had one there as well, it might have been cloaked or the astronauts just thought that it was another random satellite.

I'm not sure how it just released the venom virus so easily by being hit by a small chunk of debris, if that was the reason then it's one lousily constructed satellite.

Maybe it has something to do with way back, at the start of the New Avengers. Sentry ripping Carnage into pieces in space, just think about. Makes sense?

Hmmm... I wonder why most of the Mighty Avengers aren't effected by the Venom Virus.

Based on the covers, Wasp seems to be nailed by it just like the Mighty Avengers. But the rest seem to be okay. Some of them I can understand being immune... Wonderman, Iron Man, and maybe Sentry. But not Black Widow or Spider-Woman.

I don't know why that is either (especially with Black Widow) but then again in the NA depictions of those scenes we don't see Spider-Woman until the end of that sequence.
