Are Turok & War Gods any good?

Having recenly come across a sale of old N64 games, I have to ask....are Turok the Dinosaur Hunter or War Gods any good?

The original Turok is so-so. War Gods is flat out terrible.

I spent may a day playing Turok, making enemies accidentally hit each other so they'd fight.



There's a museum type area in one level where 8 of the enemies are shown as statues. Hit the wrong one, and they come to life and attack.


I literally spent two weeks (when I wasn't in middle school) redoing the level, activating them all at once, and seeing what changes or tweaks would allow so-and-so enemy to triumph over the seven others. Good times.




Oh...and the rest of the game is fun as well. Just be ready for lots and lots of fog. It was a heavily used trick back in the beginning of the N64's lifespan.

the first two 64 Turok games were very well done for their time.

Turok seemed good when Goldeneye hadn't happened yet.

War Gods never seemed good.
