Ultimate Mjolnir

Admittingly, I missed out on the Ultimate Power series. So i dont know all that happened there. But can anyone explain how in Ultimates 3 #1 Thor is not only carrying a 616 version of Mjolnir, but is also speaking in a shakespearean dialect like the 616? Is Loeb just not paying attention, or is there a reason for the change?

I vote "not paying attention". If there's a reason for it, it's yet to be given. There's also a noticeable difference in Thor's speech patterns, and Wasp is suddenly caucasian and looks about 15 years old.

Not so much 'not paying attention' as simply not really giving a damn about such details as long as he can get Madureira to draw what are supposed to be cool splash pages.
Plus I am not entirely sure Madureira can even distinguish a caucasian woman from an asian one in his art if he can't make her a blonde.

Yeah, Thor didn't replace his hammer with his 616 hammer in Ultimate Power and now he has it and is dating Hank Pym's leftovers. So I hope at least that Ultimate Marvel they'll be able to give us a decent excuse about the change when they release Ultimate Origins.
