Another thread just remind me that, iron man easily defeated spiderman, cos he had stolen his spider sense technologicaly, how come cap america beated him?
Outside of that one showing, I'm not sure the Iron Senses were ever shown or used again. It was a lame one shot showing that was quickly dismissed.

It was used on CW #7. The fact that he has a "spider-sence" does not make him invincible though.

He's sensing danger EVERYWHERE. he's in the middle of the largest superhuman brawl that has been seen since Secret Wars- it was probably going off constantly.

The way I read that exchange in Iron Man was that the new iron spidey suit had shown Tony how the Spider sense works, and now he can counteract it. It wouldn't work against anyone except Spider-Man
It hasnt been referenced since then anyway

Has the Vision ever managed to get the drop on Spidey intangibly without his spider-sense going off?

- Vision maimed him from behind.
- Millar wrote Extremis-less Iron Man. There's not a single reference to Extremis in Civil War.
- Iron Man is relegated to a melee fighter instead of an energy blast sniper from above. If it was Bendis, he'd zap most of the street level heroes like he did to the Ninjas in New Avengers.
- It's all even out at the end. Cap beats Iron Man (though by outside intervention), but Iron Man "wins" the CW.

If you remember the New Avengers story arc though, Stark said he couldn't do that with everyone jumping all around in front of him when they were fighting in the apartment. The situation in the CW7 fight was similiar to that.... with everyone flying and jumping all around, he couldn't do that quite as effectively as he could the ninjas at the Hand base.

The heroes jumping around, not the Ninjas. Basically he was afraid of hitting his teammates. I'm sure if push come to shove and we're talking Tony Stark here, he'll zap em all. Then he'll apologize later to his "friends".
