i think it has been established that the acess series and jlavengers really happened. so, any chance you think of seeing access show up, not even in easter egg form?

i believe dc co-owns the character,,,is that so?

cheers,
rio

Zero chance of that happening as long as relations remains the same with Marvel thanks to Joe Q.

I just want that Cosmic Egg to come out of limbo. I was really curious to know what Busiek had plans to do with it.

Since Krona was there for the start of the first multiverse, maybe he can hatch out with a new multiverse and then Monarch ... - nope, that's a silly idea.

Gotta like Krona - one punched the Almighty Galactus into being a summer home!!

Anyway, I think the previous crossover continuity with access was washed out in favor of the last DC/Avengers crossover - which is mention in continuity in the MU from time to time.

Would be interesting to have a Thor, Supes rematch with the former being upgraded a tad.

Access has a really big forehead.

It could probably happen; DC has used the character outside of DC/Marvel crossovers before* (and presumably Marvel could, as well, but I don't believe that they ever have). It would seem an easy and appropriate thing, but I suspect DC has forgotten the character.

Access has a really big forehead.
Or a receding hairline. Seriously, if human eyes are typically located midway between the crown of the head and the tip of the chin (as I've read), Access's forehead is just about right.

No strong feelings on the subject, but I wouldn't mind seeing him again, if well-handled.

Where? Just curious

Nowhere.

Access is now a native of both universes and his duty is to keep them separate. If they start to overlap, the universes will merge into the Amalgam Universe once again. Access must move from one universe to the other keeping people from crossing over. If he stays in one place too long, he can cause spontaneous crossovers to occur. Access usually works out situations like this without anyone noticing that he is involved (this is done to explain how the subsequent DC/Marvel crossovers occur. Stories where DC and Marvel heroes appear on a "shared Earth" are believed to be dimensional fluxes where the two universes have begun to merge again. It has also been explained that once Access has restored the timelines, the characters forget about the crossover).

Despite shared ownership between DC Comics and Marvel Comics, only DC has used the character in a non-crossover appearance. In Green Lantern #87, Access appears to the green-skinned Jade and claims to be looking for Kyle Rayner. Having no success, he decides to travel to the Marvel Comics universe in order to find the Silver Surfer.

Thank you! Irks me when people say others have big foreheads without taking into account receding hairlines... yea... receding hairlines... :(

Marvel's only mentioned the Avengers/JLA crossover in their handbooks.

Yeah because they always follow their handbook to the letter.

I don't think they should use him. Access is an interesting idea, but he should be saved for the fun company crossovers. I'm amazed he appeared in GL. Perhaps it was an easter egg of sorts.

The Amalgam universe was an awesome idea. They even had a "Dark Claw Adventures" comic complete with references to bogus episodes of the Dark Claw animated series :D

Access seems to be a character/product of the time where DC and Marvel had a really good fun relationship. It really weathered down from JLA/Avengers onwards to the point where there's literally no sparks between the two regarding company crossovers so I don't think we'll be seeing Access for a long time.

But then again it depends on how much ownership DC has on the character since Marvel to my knowledge hasn't used him.

I guess it was since it was a RON MARZ issue;)

I've always dug the idea of a character who can appear in either company at any time. A shame the relations between DC and Marvel are so cold right now.

And as far as I know, DC vs. Marvel and Amalgam still happened, the characters just forgot about it (cue the "we don't have to explain it, it's magic" line).
