I've tried to be subtle about this, but...
Young Justice Returns! ...in the pages of Wondergirl.
Spoilers...
Yes, Robin, Empress and Arrowette (along with Supergirl and a Greek superhero) are shown backing Wondergirl up at the end of the latest issue. It was a great "hoo-rah" moment for those of us who are fans of that much lamented series. (Or at least for me.)

I caught that too.
Still, don't see how there can BE a Young Justice in a world with no Bart. :(
Good to see Arrowette isn't forgotten, though. I'd love to see her meet Mia and deadbeat dad Ollie. >:)

I'd go further, and say, "without Impulse," since Kid Flash never seemed to be quite the same person.
And I really didn't have a problem with Bart reading the library, just with the loss of his original personality and entire supporting cast -- Max Mercury, Max's daughter, the puppy, and all the kids.

Of course, given Didio's record, I'm worried that Arrowette and Empress are being brought in just to be killed.

That would be terrible. While not a huge fan of Empress, I would really hate to lose Arrowette.
Of course, her appearance in Wonder Girl begs the question, "When did she get back into the hero game?"

She's still retired, she just got back into the costume to help Cassie out.

No Bart, Connor and Greta equals no Young Justice.

YJ was awesome. But like others have said, the team just isn't the same. The issues of YJ without Bart were easily the weakest, IMO.

I hear you, Lester, but Greta has already appeared in Wondergirl (albeit still depowered) and we'll probably inevitably get Connor back before too long, and maybe Bart as well. I mean, if you put Arrowette back in uniform and in combat -- with a bow -- how much longer do you think the rest'll take? =)
And in some ways it's easier to see Impulse-Bart coming back now that his older self is deceased.

I'm rather surprised they had Cissie get back in costume, but that's overshadowed by the fact that they acknowledged she and Anita exist at all.

Does anyone really believe that Didio sits up in his office, twirling his mustache and plotting who to kill next?

I don't.
That's not the sort of mustache you twirl.

Touche!
I just think that you have to at some point..... you know..... look to the writers themselves.
Hell, I love Gail's work, but even with her, I don't like that she killed off The Fiddler in the way that she did (I love me some Earth 2 villians.) **shrugs** But I don't blame Didio for that.... I don't hold a grudge against Gail for it. It's just the times, you know?
Although..... **ahem** Anyone wanting to flesh out Virtuoso would make me very happy! Also, you know. Changing her name. Say, um..... well, I hear 'The Fiddler' isn't taken.... ;)

The End Times, you mean.
Ever since Doctor Demonicus fell to skin cancer -- how? How could such a champion of Evil Genius fall to such a prosaic ailment, when all he did was expose himself repeatedly to radiation in hopes of getting superpowers? What sense does that make? -- I could see the End Times coming.
May the Dark Scientists preserve us all.

Well... no.
I really thought he had it better planned out than all that. With, you know, maybe a timetable and some flow charts.
According to my (<Ahem!> well-placed) sources, after the third Death of Superman, there should only be some newly purchased properties left to serve as DC's flagship characters for the new century -- Betty Boop and Youngblood!
Clearly, they're still trying to build a distinctive house brand.
What can I say? The Future sounds Awesome!
Does anyone really believe that Didio sits up in his office, twirling his mustache and plotting who to kill next?
No, but I have heard that Didio did not care for Young Justice, to put it mildly, and has said disparaging things about the series, which is why the series was cancelled when Didio took over as EIC. There has also been some falling out between DC and Peter David because of all this. Someone more well-versed about this stuff would have to fill in the specifics.
Anyway, with this in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the former YJers were killed off, but I doubt it's going to happen in the pages of Wonder Girl, as I doubt that J. Torres would do that. As a matter of fact, a Wonder Girl on-going would be a great place for some of the retired/de-powered YJers to serve as supporting characters.
