OK, so Vision "died" in Disassembled. Then he was sort of reborn (for want of a better word) through Iron Lad's suit tech.

Anyone else feel like the character's languishing? He was one of my favorite Avengers and he's mothballed, it seems, while YA is on hiatus.

I'd like to see him become part of one of the bigger teams - New or Mighty, with Mighty making the most sense due to the presence of his "brother," Simon.

How would you re-integrate Vision into the Avengers universe?

Stepping back, I wouldnt mind seeing Vision more integrated.

I would have liked for Simon to be on the New Avengers and Vision on Mighty. After all, the two have been at odds alot of times in the past. Simon could illustrate the "human" reaction if you will to the SHRA and how the Avengers should approach things, while Vision would represent the logical or "futurist" perspective. I imagine the reason Vision may not be on Mighty though is that he may present a counter to Tony in some instances (Logic, reason, better ways to handle things). Having him cow-tow to Starks methods would probably just make him another Thor Clone.

Also from a writers perspective, and the new way Avengers have been handeled since ADA, you dont see a large number of the old school mainstays in the picture. I would imagine to achieve a degree of seperation from the old status quo.

Well b4 you even think about trying to integrate the new Vision any which way, you have to remember that this isn't the old Vision. He doesn't have any of the old memories or even the old personality really. If nothing else, he's still "fresh out of the box" and highly susceptible to anybody's ideology if given time.

Anyway, w/ all the changes, and the lack of the proper personality/memories/history, he's not really Simon's brother anymore anyhow. And since he's based on Iron Lad's brainwaves and he's spent time w/ the Young Avengers, he'd probably sympathize w/ their cause more readily, so he'd probably work w/ the New Avengers if given the choice right now.

Old Vision is dead, Long Live the new Vision.

He is technically an adolescent rather than an adult, since he has the memories and personality of a teenager.

Anyways, I sort of like the new Vision for some reason.

I don't mind that this is a totally new Vision. The clean slate will be a good thing for the character. I'd simply like to see more of him. With YA shelved for so long, Vision's been MIA.

Imagine the material a writer could get from having this new version of the Vision interacting with folks who are familiar with his predecessor - Clint, Ms. Marvel, Tony - I think there could be some cool drama to wring out of it.
