Still worried about Tyler, but at least Carey's liking his stuff so far. Wish we saw some interior samples. And hope they can keep Ponsor on-board, that'd rock.
I do have to say that the composition on the 50th cover is noticeably bad.

I am not that familiar with Tyler Kirkham, but find what I have seen to look pretty good. As long as he knows how to use his style within a book about the Fantastic Four, hakuna matata.
I love Carey's enthusiasm and his mention how because this is an Ultimate book, he can really give it that 'anything can happen' sense of wonder that early Fantastic Four issues had with Stan and Jack. Great comment, and I think it shows in his writing. His reinventions of the characters has been a blast, and I look forward to the return of the Seed 19 and other denizens of Acheron. Too bad Pascual Ferry won't be along for the ride.
And yes, Justin Ponsor has been excellent on this book. I too hope he is around for a long time (as is Carey!).

Tyler Kirkham didn't do that cover...

I wasn't commenting on the cover, if you are directing that at me. I was commenting on the fact that he's coming on as the next penciller. It's not clear if Mr. Mapa was drawing that conclusion or if his concerns about Kirkham and the composition of the cover of #50 were separate observations or related. It's worth pointing out, if that was his conclusion, however.
