Nights: Journey into Dreams

Ok, I need some opinions on this game as I'm getting it for christmas gift for my cousin, who was big into the Saturn (And the first game).

I've heard alot of mixed reviews ranging from excelent to mediocure to suck.

Anyone got anything on this game?

I haven't rented it yet, but from the reviews I've read the major problem is the controls. I read that a "classic" controller makes the game a lot more fun then the wiimote. Besides that the review said it good and a lot like the first one. I really liked the first one.
