so what does everyone think about Chris. Love him or Hate him.
I thought the whole thing was pretty well thought out. As long as they don't hyper-age him and he comes back hating his dad i'm cool with him staying around
Chris Kent and Jason White should fight in a death match where they both lose.

I the little tyke... And I appuald the way he's been handled. In such a manner that doesn't annoy the hell out of you or shove down your throat but still present... He feels no natural and it brings another layer to Superman's mildmanner persona and to Lois. Son, husband, father...
As long as Chris doesn't fall pray to the dozens of cliches that float around a character such as him (instant-aging and etc.) I'll be fine.

What would be wrong with them working together? I think they would play off each other fine.

i thought it was a big thing that they were FINALLY making the Zod in the comics like the Zod in Superman 2. Isnt the whole reason they introduced Chris was to bring Zod back?

I love him. Superman 668 was probably my favorite superman issue ever.

I like Chris a lot so far. IMO, Busiek is doing a good job with him and with Supes in general. I am happy.
Oh, and I LOVE Jason in the movie, yeah.:p
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!

That would be so bad ass!!!
I think Chris is a really cool idea. Making it Zod's child is even better.

Half of me thinks he's cute and half of me can't stand him.
I'm not crazy about the way it was handled and I REALLY HATE that he calls them Daddy Clark and Mama Lois.
Just f-ing call them Mom and Dad. Its painful.
Real foster kids either call their guardians by their first name or if they end up being close, by Mom or Dad, but not both. ugh.
The way he talks seems a little fan fictionesque sometimes.
But the child idea is nice. Its just so delicate. It needs some work and proper handling, but it could turn out to be really nice.

I really, really hate the thought of Superman having a son. Especially after DC killed Conner (though it could have been worse I suppose). It seems really unrealistic to me for him and Lois to adopt a kid... Lois doesn't seem the type to want kids anyway, and with her job, Clark's job, and Clark being Superman... I really don't think either of them would have *time* for a kid, let alone one with super powers.
I actually haven't read anything with Chris in it on purpose, and I'm avoiding the current Superman series right now because of it... which sucks because he's my favorite superhero. I was actually going to start a topic like this of my own before I saw this one, and clicked on it hoping that someone would convince me he's not so bad... but after reading the "Daddy Clark" and "Mama Lois" thing... ugh. O_o

I dont hate Chris being around, I dont like that he shows up what? 3 months (1 year in comic time) after Conner dies and I think the whole Kent family (and Supergirl) just forgets he was even there which is kinda pathetic since the guy died saving every living being not only on the face of the planet but all 52 univeres and what do they do? Oh look a kryptonian kid.....lets invite him into our lives.........yea that works
If Chris showed up a little later on like maybe a month ago it would seem ok cause then its like 2 years later so thats a good time to move on, they just really rushed in to it so Chris is on my bad list lol

With Singer's movie, and from Superman 2, the arc, when Kal-El was powerless.
The idea of a child being born, sprang forth. And it is funny...no one in editoral or writers, did not bring that up in the comic books (After the S2), until sometime ago, when it was showed, a older and settled Supes at home, with Lois and offspring. But I believe that was before the movie (SR) came out. (could be wrong though)
Now comes Singer's tale, and oh-oh, he showed the offspring. And one thing I do know, that sometimes they do not like having young ones, with superhero parents (in comics). It shows that 'immortal' stance is slowly ebbing away.
But this statement is suggestive.
I don't mind that Chris is there, in fact, I do mind greatly that he is there.
The legacy of Superman, in title...has possibility a heir. And if done properly.
But there is a sorta bad side to it. As shown in the recent issue, Chris fell and hit his head, with the red watch (a mini-red sun generator made by Batman) that suppress his 'super' abilities.
And the frantic and fear ran through Lois' mind.
No Hospital for him.
If Hospital, MRI usage, and that means no watch wearing.
No scan possible, because of his hertiage.
Too many unwanted questions, from everyone.
This is one possible scenario...but it is a great story, that is yet to be told.
Is that, will he be the one?
And the other part will be also, to see if someone will try to retcon this event, like it never happened.

With Chris being around, it most definitely gives Supes an heir. Just like Damien is to Batman. Which I think is real cool. I would love to have those
two to meet.
Question? If Chris is Zod and Ursa's son and, was born in the Phantom zone how did he arrive on Earth in a rocketship? Furthermore, how did this event free Zod and his crew from the Zone?

I wouldn't mind knowing that myself.

One of the problems with stories with months-long delays like "Last Son" is that readers have more than enough time to pick apart the story....
