No. No I don't. I find him very uninteresting. :p

I give this an easy "Hell's Yea!!!!" (side note, would've been better if it was "Hellz Yea", a Z indicates awesomeness. Surprised you didnt know that).

Ares has been my favorite part of Mighty Avengers so far.

I'd sign on so long as there was a decent art and writing team and they gave him some actual powers. I'd kill for Oming and Foreman to come back and do an ongoing.

He has potential, when he's not being used as a somewhat one dimensional Greek thug.

There are elements to his character which can funny in a crude sort of way. And the last Ares mini clearly left room for future stories.

Poo, we're all out of Uru hammers forged in pure awesomeness. I've got a set of car keys etched in pure coolatude, a power drill molded in raw fantasticalosity and ONE candybar that contains 15% awesomeness, but the rest is nougat. take your pick.

No clue, but I'd like to take the time to say how much I love the name Travel Foreman. it's just cool.

Hmm...well, since I have an absess on my tongue, I may want to leave the candy bar for someone else...let's try the powerdrill. Is it battery powered, or do I have to plug it into the wall?

When I have a child or pound puppy, which ever happens first, I'm so going to name them Travel Foreman!

I'd buy it if they did it in a fun way, like putting the God of War in typical Super Hero situations to see how he'd handle it.

For example, how does the God of War rescue a kitten stuck up a tree? How does the God of War stop a small time purse snatcher? Also, what's his secret identity? Imagine if Shield's only available I.D. that week was as an accountant called something like Myron Blunte.

You could do a running gag each issue on Ares screwing up the secret ID thing, and have some Shield Agent having to put him into a new ID. Used Car Salesman, Checkout operator, Hair Stylist, Fireman etc etc etc.

For the love of Zeus, make this so!

i voted hell naw.. I find him boring and think he would be uncapable of holding his own in a regular or mini-series. Look at the disastere that was Sentry miniseries

I need to see more appearances by the character before I can say he deserves one, and that I'd buy it. If he got one now, I might not buy it, but I'd give it a read, sure.

**** yes! I've been wanting something ongoing for Ares to come out, like NOW. I can't wait for him to show up in the Astonishing Giant Size either. :D

You always know how to satisfy me Dagger.:o

He can just about sustain a mini , especially ones that develop his character and background , ala the recent Submariner mini , however absolutley not in an ongoing title , he will flagg around issue 17 and be cancelled before he hits 30.

IMHO

no not really. I read Mighty Avengers and there is enough Ares for me.
It's not a character who i find interesting. He's a little bit of an one-dimensional character so far for me.

I would, depending on the creative team.

It's too soon to be asking for an Ares ongoing . Especially if they are gonna give him that cave man ooong boonga personality we are seeing in Mighty.

Yes, I think Ares is Oeming's best Marvel work so far.

for it to survive as an ongoing series, a niche needs to be found for him. thor has always been the "mythical god on earth or mythical realm" hero. hercules, while ok as part of a team or in a mini, probably wouldn't be as successful because it would be too similar to thor. same with ares. i think if there was an ongoing title about the entire greek pantheon, in which ares could be the major player, that would fare better. but if we're just going to see ares' adventures on earth, it won't last more than 1 year.

I would buy an ongoing hell yes.

The thing is that ongoings are a risky venture for C-D list characters, especially a reforged character like Ares (who I like immensely). I think since he's on Mighty Avengers that'll have to remain our fill of the character but mini's make sense or even a maxi-series.

If you guys want more Ares, he's great in Incredible Herc so nab that book.

Yeah, for an ongoing it would have to be sort of like his first mini where we see Ares's past exploits mixed in with the current. Immortal Iron Fist does this well too but with Ares I think the book would be best if placed in the past with a wide scope of epic war stories or quite day to day moments in his history with the MU and the Greek Pantheon.

Ares is a interesting character. I really would like to see him against Thor.
There’s some interesting things that could be done with these two...:)

If it was more of a warrior book then a superhero book, yes. If alot of it took place in ancient times, aka Ares' time, then yes.

He's rapidly become my favorite Mighty Avenger. I would totally buy anything with him in it. He's just...funny. He's like Hercules with accidental humor.

This would kick all kinds of butt. It also needs to be a MAX title.

I need to read more of the upcoming Mighty Avengers issues and the Incredible Hercules before I can give my 2 cents he is still a relatively new character(The Comic Character) to me.

If you haven't read the mini by Oeming and friends, you'll probably say no.

If you have read it- You know it rocked - So HELLZ YEAH!!!

The character was far from one-dimensional.

He was a warrior, a son, a rival, a father, a leader, and he didn't know his place or role in the Universe. It was not like his portrayals in early Avengers or MA.

Same here. Speaking of which, I don't really like Mighty Avengers. They need to really get them involved in a better story arc.

I'd rather them put the effort into Hercules, since he's the big hero in the family

I would but knowing Marvel, they would put a bat artist in the series (jeez, its a shame so many bad artists are in the Marvel lot these days), mediocre writer, and poor stories that wouldn't attract the average reader.

As for people saying he is one-dimensional, I suggest reading the Ares: God of War limited series. He isn't as one-dimensional as you may think.

voted for the option Hell's almost no aka no. I've not been following American comics since they got so expensive nowadays.

I like Ares as he's being written, he's usually lots of fun in Mighty Avengers, so sure I would buy an Ares ongoing. But, it depends on the creative team and the book's reason for being. For example, Im a big fan of She-Hulk and Hercules, but I'm not buying Incredible Herc or She-Hulk. So, there would have to be a good creative team and story behind an Ares book for me to buy it.
