I just bought some sketchbooks from Dick Blick's online, and they seemed reasonable - the closest art store to where I live is a Utrecht in Hamden, CT, and I don't really like Utrecht - they always seem to be out of stock on the good stuff (for example, drawing ink - they always only have Higgins), so I would prefer to order online to get exactly what I need.

Only problem is the shipping was $7.50 for two lousy sketchbooks (any order under $30.00 is $7.50 - which seems steep considering I can order from Amazon and others, and get two day delivery for $3.50 for most stuff, free usually).

I envy you lucky ones that live near a Pearl Paint (I went to school at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and then Pratt in Brooklyn, so I miss Pearl).

So, besides the ones who live near a Pearl, which online art store have you used?

Over here we got Utrecht also. And there's another place I go to often called Dick Blick. Either those two or I go right to the College for Creative Studies and get some(alumni there)
