The Mighty Avengers are HUGE to the Marvel universe as a whole. We all know this.

I really like what they are doing with Spiderman, 3 times a month (much like how we can read the Messiah complex quickly, rather than waiting a year for it to unfold)

They Give Amazing Spiderman to a creative team, they then complete a run of issues, not sure how many, maybe like 3 to 6 before it is handed off to another team who may already be working on their 3 books fully knowing what the last team was doing with spiderman in their run before it is fully released.

I think The Mighty Avengers could benefit from this treatment. There are so many big stories out there for them to tackle and their stories are supposed to shake up the whole Marvel universe and affect other titles. I think the Marvel Universe would be better served with Amazing Spiderman 3 times a month, The Mighty Avengers 3 times a month, and The New Avengers 1 time a month.

What do you guys think?

I think they should do Mighty Avengers once a month before thinking about 2 or 3 times... lol

I like the concept, but worry about a delusion of quality. we have yet to see how good BND will be, and I'd like to let bendis run with MA for a bit. If they were going to let christos gage write an arc, then bendis, then someone else good like a vaughn or a kitson, then I'd be all for it. esp. if we got some Christos Gage MA's. :D

I figured they were doing it to catch up with the rest of the Marvel Universe. With a different penciller, who has had months to work on the comics, they should be able to pull off twice a month until they've "caught up."

That's what I got from it aswell. It's just Bendis/Bagley getting all their issues out before Secret Invasion hits.

I think we already basically almost one Avengers title a week with NA, Might Avengers, Initiative, Classic Avengers, and Marvel Adventrues Avengers. So aside from catching up MA to NA, I don't think any more Avengers books are necessary.

If they did it, I wouldn't complain though.

Late shipping aside, the new ASM schedule doesn't interest me. I jumped off that train once Back in Black ended. I certainly don't want to have to drop anymore books (although my bank account tells me I probably should!).

Only if they change the name to the Mighty Brown-Shirts. Do you guys like war criminals and Quislings that much that you want 3 doses of it a month?

That being said, it probably takes Bendis about 3 issues to deliver the same amount of story that any other writer would get done with in 1. But hey, we get lots of splash pages and the Avengers can argue about whether Start Trek was better than Star Wars or who was the hottest of Charlie's Angels!

This just makes me dislike Cho work even more. It takes 10 months for him to do 6 issues and Bagley can put out 5 in three.

Bagley is already done with his 6 issues. SO they should come out twice a month to catch up. 7 and 8 Ship in Jan. Issue 9 in Feb. Issues 10 and 11 in March.

Yeah that's right. I've just looked at the schedule and the set release dates as it stands now will bring the book mostly back on track.

I hope the art does not suck though, Like the New Avengers art...... I want some reaslistic art, which Cho delivered, The Mighty Avengers should have art like Civil War and The Xmen Messiah Complex Part 1 One Shot, Not crappy Sketch art like new avengers or that crappy Child Cartoon made for 5 year olds look like New Xmen.

I agree. I'm loving the stories in New Avengers, but Lenil Yu's "sketchy" art just sucks.

Bring back Finch!!

I thought this book was cancelled? I don't recall seeing any new issues in a long time. I wonder if they ever finished the Ultron story arc before it got cancelled.

You really called Cho's art realistic? Seriously?

book's not cancelled, it was delayed, it's back on schedule now, twice a month actually to make up for lateness and the face it's way behind it's counterpart New Avengers.

As much as I love Frank's art (and I will admit that the first arc is going to look great collected) I don't think the lateness is worth the art at all which is why we're getting the double shipped issues.

While Frank set the bar pretty high as far as art goes on MA the collective enthusiasm of most fans, and even Bendis himself a little, goes out the window. I agree with the posters that say that it should work out the monthly schedule first to then maybe consider double shipping but I don't think double shipping is even necessary once the books all synch up. Double shipping should only be used in a situation like this where a book has fallen so far behind.

Plus like XPac said we have New, The Initiative, Mighty, and Classic which is a pretty big dose there on top of the solo avengers books.

Depends on what you mean by realistic I guess. I mean his actual anatomy is better than most in comics, it's just all his characters have the some body types!

Terrible art?

I love Skottie Young's New X-Men. That was a switch of style he did after the cleaner art he had on the Magik arc.

Ok so this is why Bendis is concluding the current New Avengers Arc in the up coming anuual? If thats the case then Mighty Avengers doesn't need to ship twice a month.
