I was hoping someone would have posted a thread about this, but I haven't read anyone thoughts about the king and queen upcoming return to Wakanda. I am hyped over the upcoming Annual and good old fashioned political/social intrigue. Any way who else is excited. If you are not then cool as well we know the thoughts of the naysayers so please only those who want to discuss their thoughts and speculations about the return to Wakanda and what that could mean for the Invasion.

i think it will be cool to see them back on earth!
and it looks like trouble is brewing in Wakanda, i hope that we see some updates about Cannibal and what he is up to. i bet that he is incharge of wakanda at the moment.
and BP needs to a good oldfasioned who is the traitor arc

Yea but I was saying somewhere else that this could be big for the Invasion. Think about it, you have a shape shifter in the court of Wakanda causing strife with a greater Aliean threat using the same tactics. Even if the BP and Storm are not directly involved that could cause even more problems for the greater Marvel U, as Wakanda being distracted could mean less resources.

Wonder if Hudlin will resolve the Cannibal subplot then.

Get ready though because Reggie Hudlin loves to throw subliminal jabs at the naysayers so I predict a cover with Storm as a Skrull and a big SIKE when you open the issue. That issue could do about 150k off of that cover alone.:evilsmile :D

I was worried that this thread was going to be about either Elvis or Jack Kirby.

I doubt they'll do a Storm as Skrull cover since that ploy is being tried in Ms. Marvel already in March. I doubt a cover would cause that much of an increase in sales for BP. It will be nice that Ororo and T'Challa will be home again.

If that happen then I know I'm banned Black Panther from my pull list, forever.
Just this once I would like a cover where something truthful happens within issue. :(
Besides Storm being a Skrull would bring the X-men closer involved in the event and it would explain her recent actions with the Marvel U. :D

HAHAHA. A buddy of mine actually dressed as the King for Halloween two years ago. It was the creepiest custome I have ever seen, grown men were moving out of the way in fear.
As for T'challa and Ororo, trouble has been brewing with Wakanda for a while now. I think T'Challa should step down as King and become Wakandas Protector, basically their Capt. America. This will allow him to continue his globe hopping and stop fans from whining about him being away from his kingdom, the same should be done with Namor.

or at least set up a prime minister or some thing to run the country.
maybe they should do like england where the king is not incharge of the actual country.
he could still be the war leader and wield power but it would make for better stories.

True but he would still have diplomatic immunity and everyone knows that diplomatice immunity should be reserved for bad guys.

^^^ Well I belive king Tchalla does have a general council that helps him govern. That is how in the last series Achebe was able to take over briefly (well it really was a set up by Tchalla to have Achebe take over but that is a long story). It has been shown in the last two series that depite having provisions in place, some in Wakanda do not like the global hopping of Tchalla.

Well Reggie stated that he did not like the dethroning of Namor, because of the momentum he had been building and because the kingdom less Namor had been done before so you never know, but I doubt it because he kind of set it up with the Civil War agreements but it looks like that has been undone. Alas.

I can't WAIT for this!!!!!
I'm already counting the days to the Annual.
I can't wait to see what the Canibal is up to, and what's been going on in Wakanda.
I'm not sure how I feel about the Skrull invasion being apart of the BP title.
But with US ships off of the caost of Wakanda, and Skrullieness going on State side, it'd be believable.
Especially with the Illuminati involvement.
Now that i think about it, it would be funny actually, if the invasion didn't evan mention Wakanda.

Hudlin's Wakanda is a perfect utopia, so all Wakandan villains and rogues have been retconned out of existence.

What were Storm and Black Panther doing before this? Where are they returning to Wakanda from?
Are they off the FF yet? Will Storm still be in X-Men?
