a few thoughts-
Mighty Ships double again! Huzzah! Doom back in time? I have no idea where Bendis is going with this, but I do like it.
calling it now- KIA is MVP. The original MVP, brought back to life somehow. I have a terrible feeling Baron Von Blitzshalg will be a casualty, and an OK feeling that Hank Pym may be one too.
They are openly suggesting Ms. Marvel is a Skrull... this leads me to believe that she's 100% not a skrull. Call it TWD's principal of marvel misdirection, if they're suggesting something will happen with a preview image, it never will.

Ooooo... nice catch Tobias. Do you think that this will be that situation? Doom goes back and runs an Eastern European empire for a few years?
I loved that arc of Cap, and the thought that Dr. D was the person who created those ancient weapons was a great one, but I figured that would be Bru's story to tell.

Doom and Tony were stuck back in time once before, in Camelot. As long as you get Doom's word your ok.
As for the rest: Go skrulls!

I would wager so. Marvel does seem to love its inter-series crossovers.

Ah, but they have to know we'd assume the misdirection was a misdirection, making the misdirection's misdirection a simple misdirection! but they'd have to see that coming too...
In any case, I don't think Ms. M is a skrull... right now. She could be captured and replaced in issue 25, transforming the comic to be from the invading skrull's perspective during the build-up to SI. I might start buying it then. ;)

I thought the Doom story was only three issues; whatever; more from Mark Bagley in his last Marvel work for a while (nice to see them mention his departure in the solicits).
Ms. Marvel being replaced in #25 or somesuch would be interesting, but barring some really major retcon, she couldn't be one now; Reed gives her a running internal monologue every issue.

Well, there is that Warbird alternate reality Carol. She might be a skrull. That would be a cheap way to teast Carol being one when she's really not.

Best way to figure out what the SKrulls are up to.. infiltrate the Skrulls.
Who's got the sass and brass to pull it off? Ms. Marvel, since her Kree and other mixed heritages would make her immune to whatever the Warskrulls are doing to mimic their Marvel Heroes.

She's actually half-Skrull, but no one ever realized it, and that's why the Kree experimented on her.

Good thinking, I hadn't noticed that part. I sort of like the pair, and they have some history together so it's not out of the blue.
Cho's Mighty Avengers cover is gorgeous, I love how he draws Ms. Marvel.
The Iron Man/Doc Doom team-up has got me excited. The Sentry having a breakdown... never saw that coming. He's like the Marvel Universe Britney Spears, next thing you know he'll shave his head off.

he was on Earth specifically to spy on the Avengers but "quit" his job once the Avengers were Disassembled. so far, he seems to like it on Earth. i don't see a strong reason for him to back a skrull takeover. sure, it would make him the instant champion of his species if he aided them in the overthrow of Earth. but he's got the powers and skill set to be a big time hero fighting them off, as well. Crusader seemed to be kind of 'gray' moral-wise. he'll probably go with whomever gives him the best offer. what i'm interested in is them discovering he's a skrull. will he step off the bus with a green ribbed chin or be wearing his human guise? can't wait for he and Ant-Man (the other Kirkman-creation) to interact. they could get into a lot of trouble w/ a reality-warping ring.
P.S. to his credit, he did save the Avengers bacon by helping take down Titannus (some big skrull supervillain). that leads me to believe that his loyalties are with Earth.

Didn't Bendis say that some of the Skrulls would be sleeper agents who didn't know they were skrull agents until they're triggered?
I'm thinking that "Ms. Marvel" will start to realize she's a skrull and have some sort of identity crisis like Boomer did in season 2 of Battlestar.
I'm just wondering if Secret Invasion will be better then Final Crisis and if Marvel will do a third Annihilation.

KIA and MVP being 3 letter names for people is more than just a coincedence in my opinion. Did anyone think that the clones were going to work out for the good this time? Clor was an utter failure. So how can they go from utter failure to success in one try? But I could see the real MVP coming back to life and killing the clones and the doctors that cloned him.

yeah, I'd bet that it's the original MVP, somehow brought back to life by the Tactigon or the MVP that got sent home with his family.
The Scarlett Spiders will fight and defeat him, primiarly because they have all of MVP's moves with Spider-man's moves.

How do we know the Scarlett Spiders will fight their original? If you were a clone of yourself, and shared the same logic, feelings, etc, would you not understand where MVP(KIA) is coming from?
I'm expecting KIA to be more powerful than the clones though. If the clones do fight KIA, I expect KIA to murder them very gruesome-like.

Eh. If they're perfect clones and have Spider-powers as well, any one of them should be tougher than the original. All three at once, and KIA better have a expletive good reason to be able to take them.
That said, he's clearly wielding the Tactigon in the solicit. I would call that an expletive good reason.

i'm beginning to think that the "greatest mistake of Henry Pym's superhero career" is him figuring out how to graft the tactigon onto the regenerating MVP body. of course, that doesn't really work with my other theory that the MVP clone sent home to his "father" went nuts (like in the movie Deathdream). i just had another thought. what if the one that was sent home became a little insecure about his own existence so he returned to the camp to kill the original Michael Van Patrick and his "brothers?"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068457/
either way, it's too bad that Armory isn't coming back in the forseeable future.

I'd agree. I think that classic MVP will come back to life at some point (why keep an evil Ex-Nazi scientist around if he can't raise the dead?), and who knows, perhaps it will be to take on his first clone.

That last one wasn't very funny, really. No, really :p
And I have no idea why Cheung would draw him in that pose. Were they trying to get the fact that he's Wanda's kid, in case the solit didn't say it explicitly enough, by amalgamating his head and her body together?
And what the hell is up with the sides of the costume? Last time I checked, he wore an all-black costume plus the red cape and the silver thing. And Speed looks like he needs some food, he might break in a half.
