The other night, intertainment tonight ran a vidieo ,for the first time,of a song from the 1965 beatles help film. Now I could swear, that on a piano or such, were several 1965 superman comics. This may have been directly taken from the film, not sure.Any one able to post stills of this scene?

It was in HELP! In the film, the Beatles were depicted as sharing an apartment in London (something they had done briefly when they first began living in the city regularly in 1963, but which they had long abandoned by 1965 when HELP! was filmed and released). Paul McCartney had a whole stack of comics on the electric piano that was one of the prop pieces in the movie.

I don't doubt that the Beatles were comics fans, however. John Lennon made reference to Captain Marvel in the 1968 Beatles song "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill." In the 1970s, Paul McCartney recorded a song called "Magneto and Titanium Man" with his second band, Wings.

So what would the Beatles' analogues be in the DCU?

Paul = Superman (optimistic, has purportedly been dead)
John = Batman (a bit of a sourpuss, shacks up with evil women)
Ringo = Aquaman (gets no respect, would like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden in the shade)

Not sure on George, or even supporting players like Pete Best, Brian Epstein, and George Martin.
